Happy Friday, peeps!  Do you feel all mixed up this week?  I am not sure what day it feels like, but we got inches and inches of snow last night and it is COLD!!!  Staying inside all day today, that’s for sure!   Meanwhile, I was able to play with some pretty colors yesterday, courtesy of the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week:

I’ve been so used to making Christmas cards, it’s nice to use some of my neglected colors and papers!  This one uses the Thinlits Circle Card die, Mosaic Madness and Quatrefancy DP:

I heat embossed the border and one of the mosaics in gold embossing powder, and diecut the “thx” from a gold foil circle.  The little sequins are leftovers that always fall off the end of my string of sequins, so I glued them on for a little extra sparkle:

Cassidy just opened her gifts from Grampy’s parents yesterday….I thought she was getting a tool box, but four vintage Beanie Babies were wrapped in tissue and stuffed in the little wooden box…really cute!  She really loved the flamingo…although her other Mom Mom may confiscate it, as she loves them too!

Its name is “Pinky”, by the way!

CAS Christmas Stamp Camp Cards

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I am paying the price for this wonderful fall weather with some icky allergy symptoms that have me down low….so today I am just sharing the cards we made earlier this week at my Christmas card stamp camp.  As usual, they are very simple, but still pretty and fun to make:

Paper Players 150

Hey, peeps!  It’s Sunday and Anne Marie has a lovely Paper Players CAS challenge for us today:

Woohoo!  Anyone who knows Anne Marie knows she likes BLING!  I have had these square-cut gems in my bling thing drawer forEVER!  I was so excited that I would have a chance to use them:

I first chose my colors of Pink Passion, Pink Pirouette, Pool Party and Soft Sky to match my gems.  I stamped a mosaic from Mosaic Madness in each color and then tried to figure out how to achieve a pleasing layout. Nothing was appealing to me,  so I decided to emboss what I call the “snowflake” border from the Delicate Designs set, and what do you know…the mosaics fit perfectly!  Usually I do white for CAS designs, but I thought the Soft Sky cardstock really looked pretty with these jewel tones!

I added a simple sentiment from Fabulous Phrases and my CAS creation was done!  I hope you’ll take a few minutes to play with the Paper Players this week and share your clean and simple blingy creation!  Can’t wait to see it!  And while you’re there, be sure to check out what gorgeous creations the other designers have made as well!

At different times both John & I noticed a young catbird that hopped around our yard and did not fly away when we got near.  We finally determined that it has a damaged wing!  Cassidy loves to try to “catch” birds, so this one was about her speed:

She actually managed to get pretty close to it, then it scooted under some bushes!

Try as we might, it was pretty well hidden and we couldn’t find it!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  How can it be Thursday already?!  I had a few free minutes to stamp yesterday, so I made a thank-you card for a customer using Rita’s  Freshly Made Sketches sketch:

Rita always has wonderful sketches!  I just love this new Strawberry Slush color featured on this particular Quatrefancy DP:

I mixed it with a couple of the other new In Colors, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe, to make my 4 1/4” square card.  The banners were stamped with images from Mosaic Madness, and the circular element is from A Round Array and Mosaic Madness.  The bird image is from Animal Talk!  And of course, the inside features the corresponding sentiment:

A perfect sentiment for a sweet customer!

We are all suffering from spring colds and allergies, Cassidy included.  Plus, we are all trying to “encourage” her to potty train!  After a particularly trying morning, and a little 15-minute meltdown, I took her out for a swing because it was just too nice of a day to stay inside.  We didn’t make it too long:

I took her out, rocked her on the porch rocker for about two minutes and she was out like a light!

Just sort of experimenting with some new things today---this new color, Crisp Cantaloupe, is right up my peachy-shade-lovin’ alley!!  Especially with Calypso Coral!  I am still fooling around with Mosaic Madness, too:

I embossed the sentiment on a piece of vellum, but it didn’t stand out quite well enough, so I added a second piece behind it…..then I stamped on the back of it, too!  Just a little line design from the same set!  Gave it a little bit of color and hid the dimensionals!

I may be MIA for a couple of days….my college roommates are coming for a visit…all three of them!  So I will be busy yakking with them over the weekend!  It will be 40 years since we have all three been together at one time!!!  I can’t wait!  But I’ll be back on Sunday with my Paper Players card for sure!

Oh….did you know that  a piece of cheese, still in the wrapper, will stick to the kitchen door?  It does!

Three Monochromatics

Good morning peeps!  Can you handle three quick cards today?  All feature new sneak peek stamps (or new-to-me stamps!), sneak peek products, or sneak peek colors!!!  The first one is a quickie using my favorite go-to layout featuring Strawberry Slush, a new In Color; the new Mosaic Madness stamp set and the corresponding Modern Mosaic EF and Mosaic Punch:

The next one uses some Gingham Garden Washi Tape and the new Label Love stamp set:

Of course, you know there is a punch to match!!!  I just LOVE this one!

And finally another one featuring Epic Day This & That Washi Tape and Mosaic Madness again, this time stamped on the Canvas Ribbon and accented with a jumbo fabric flower:

The little sentiment is a new-to-me stamp set called A Fitting Occasion….this was on my wish list for a while and since it made it into the new catalog, I snagged it!

This last card is for the Catered Crop’s Fabric of Friendship challenge (to use fabric) and Just Add Ink’s Woodgrain challenge…..yup, it’s there!!!  I used the Woodgrain embossing folder!  AND it uses the both the Fusion Card sketch and theme for Hypothesis 6 this week!

Cassidy had fun playing with a bubble gun over the weekend:
