While checking out challenges yesterday, I came across the Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge!! (Doesn’t that sound like all of us?!) The theme was Fall, and the Kraft Journal’s challenge was to not use designer paper! So I went to work with an easy, no-stamping card:
I’m not real keen on the layout of this card; I really wanted to use this Cuttlebug autumn embossing folder; and I really wanted to use this Crafty Secrets cotton scrap; and I really wanted to use these Lawn Fawn diecut leaves that my sweet friend Tracey gave me last year (all being hoarded, LOL!!!)…….and I just had trouble bringing it all together! But, at any rate, here it is! It is a bit larger than usual….4 1/2 x 6 1/2 on a More Mustard card base with a Cajun Craze mat and a Crumb Cake embossed layer. Maybe it would have been better in landscape. I do love the saying on the cotton scrap, though, and the colors are so pretty:
This also qualifies for the City Crafter Challenge this week, which is leaves! The Crafty Secrets blog has a Linky Party for October, so I am going to enter this in that challenge as well! Thanks for visiting today!
Speaking of leaves and fall, I found some inexpensive foam craft kits at a yardsale on Saturday, and Cassidy made short work of them. First was an owl, and once she realized she could follow the picture on the packaging as a guide, she went to work:
Then she insisted on doing the tree with the sparkly leaves too:
Did you ever see such a happy crafter? And thank goodness for peel ‘n stick foam, LOL! NO GLUE MESS!
Enjoy your day!
