More Christmas Stamp Camp Projects

Hi peeps!  Another quick post; these are the other two projects we did at my Christmas card stamp camp:

These little ornaments are Lawn Fawn dies I've had for years and I think this is the first time I've used them!  They "hang" on branches from the retired Christmas Pines set, and the sentiment is from Good Greetings, also retired. They all have some glittery doodads on them as well!

This one uses a retired set called To You & Yours, stamped in Misty Moonlight, and it's mounted on a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock diecut with the retired Card Front Builder die.  We added an accent of silver More Dazzle paper; it's simply a Stitched So Sweetly diecut, cut in half.

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Love must be completely sincere.  Hate what is evil, hold on to what is good.  Love one another warmly as Christians, and be eager to show respect for one another.  Work hard and do not be lazy.  Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion.  Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.  Share your belongings with your needy fellow Christians, and open your homes to strangers.  Romans 12:9-13

TMS733 Give Thanks

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I spent most of yesterday cranking out Thanksgiving cards, and the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches provided a perfect one for using up some scraps in my bin!  Here's the sketch:

I had a bunch of strips cut from All About Autumn DSP for an earlier project, so I trimmed them a bit and created this card:

I stamped the Very Vanilla panel with a tree from the retired Rooted in Nature, stamped the sentiment from Courage and Faith over top, then embossed it with the retired Subtle embossing folder.  I love the effect it creates:

A couple of diecut leaves of Crushed Curry finished it off.  The inside sentiment is from the retired Day of Thanks:

I also made this card, after searching through some retired DSPs...I have been hoarding this pattern but thought it would make a fun Thanksgiving card:

I can't remember the name of the woodland DSP but I know it was a SAB from a few years back; the bottom piece is from Sweet Symmetry.  The sentiment is from Good Greetings, and the woodcut is from Truly Grateful.  It's fun to use some of these older stamps!  The inside is also from Day of Thanks, and it all went on a Poppy Parade card base!

Wayne is a fan of ANY Philadelphia sports team....here the family is at a 76ers game!  Wayne's brother Matt is also a fan...he's next to Cassidy, actually paying attention, LOL!

Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

CAS Give Thanks

Happy Friday, everyone!  Brrr, it's cold here in SE PA!  But the sky is blue and the sun is shining so all is well! I had some time this morning to make a quick little Thanksgiving card using the FMS sketch, and I am also entering it at Simply Clean & Simple, where their theme is "thanks".

A while back I purchased some "inexpensive" clear stamps from an online company...they were little and cute, but required a wee bit of TLC to get them to stamp clearly.  I finally had success by running a pencil eraser over each stamp before inking....much better!  So I used three of them to make my Thanksgiving card:

I stamped the images in Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Pecan Pie, and the stitched lines in matching colors.  Each image was diecut with an Ornate Frames die:

The sentiment is from an oldie, Good Greetings:

And the inside is an even older oldie, Falling Leaves:

Another to add to my Thanksgiving stash!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

No snow like some parts of the country, but the view from my front door showed lots of frost this morning....before the sun hit it!  AND lots of leaves waiting to be raked!

CASC&S521 BOO!

Happy Thursday, peeps!  The weekend is in sight!  I have a fun little clean-and-simple card today using the fun sketch from Clean and Simple Colours & Sketches---it features THREE elements, which is right up my alley:

I got some fun new Halloween papers recently as well as a cute little alphabet die, so I combined them with some retired stamps to creat this:

My diecut squares were created with  papers from Echo Park's Spooky pad and I used some white glimmer paper to create the letters with Lawn Fawn's Oliver's Stitched ABC dies:

The ghost paper is from Honey Bee's Halloween Harvest and the sentiment is from an old SU set called Good Greetings.  The bats were diecut with dies from Scary Silhouettes:

And on the inside, I used a retired Hostess set called Six Sayings with an addition of the "you're" from Paper Studio's Everyday Expressions:

Fun little Halloween card!! I am also entering this at the Krafty Chicks challenge this week, where it is CAS!

Thanks for popping in today, enjoy it and be blessed!

TCC169 Lovely Wreath

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Time for a new Card Concept challenge, where we use different concepts to create our cards!  Here is the gorgeous inspiration that Julie has for us this week:

I loved this photo and these colors so much, I pretty much went with a literal interpretation for my Clean and Layered card today!  I used some pretty Altenew layered flowers and some SU greenery to create this:

Some stampers are really proficient at lining up these layered stamps, but I admit that I do struggle with them a wee bit!  But I think these came out okay enough!!! I used shades of Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Polished Pink, Real Red and Merry Merlot to create the roses, and the leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green:

I mounted them on a panel of Basic White that was embossed with a Tim Holtz brick embossing folder and lightly sponged with Smoky Slate ink so that the texture was visible.  A wee little sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs was diecut and popped up on the wreath, as well as a simple little bow from Organdy Glittered ribbon:

I stamped a greeting from a retired set called Good Greetings and since I had an extra "frond", I added that on the inside:

What will inspired you today?  Colors? Florals? The heart-shaped wreath?  I hope you'll play along with us at The Card Concept and share your creation and concept with us as well!

Sawyer, the birthday boy, with his very clever "camo" cake created by my other very clever niece, his Aunt Kelly!!!  It was a big hit!  You can see LOTS of camo in this photo!!!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

IB182 Sparkle

Happy Thursday, everyone!  Time for a new Inspired By challenge....here are BOTH of the prompts!  You can choose to do a holiday-themed one or a Mickey-inspired birthday one, whichever tickles your fancy! And we have an optional sketch too!

Well, I just fell in love with those cookies....they're almost too cute to eat!  I was inspired by that little red and white snowflake one down in the right-hand corner.....they inspired me to use my new Stitched Snowflakes dies!  So here we go:

I almost used the sketch, but these elements are much bigger than the ones in the sketch, but I did stick to three!  Each snowflake was diecut from some glimmer paper, then mounted on a Real Red stitched circle and embellished with a black rhinestone:

I also embossed the front panel with the snowflake EF from the Wintry set...I love the designs in it!  Finally, my little sentiment is from a retired set called Good Greetings; it was stamped and diecut with the tag from the Stockings die, and I did add a little sparkly mat under it that I hand-cut!

These snowflakes are just gorgeous!  And I hope you'll find some gorgeous inspiration from our Inspired By photos this week too!  Mickey Mouse is a fun theme for lots of occasions....can't wait to see what you create!  So happy you popped in today!

A couple weeks ago, Cassidy went rock climbing with her younger cousins:

Here's a shot that will give you a  better perspective:

Yikes!  Thanks, but no thanks!  Where she gets her daredevil streak is beyond me!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP524 CAS Snowy Scene

Happy Sunday, all! First, thank you to all those who wished us a happy anniversary!  John did like his card!   It's time for a new Paper Players challenge with the wonderful Claire as our hostess!  And it's a Clean and Simple challenge....those are just about my favorite!!  I love seeing what I can create with simply paper, stamps and ink!  Here's her prompt:

Love it!  And even though I think "Christmas" when I see the word snow, it certainly does not have to be a Christmas card, but it does have to be clean and simple...the guidelines are on our blog, so check it out if you need a refresher!  I knew just what stamp I wanted to use, so here we go:

This lovely scene is from Hero Arts, and I stamped it on Shimmery White cardstock, so it doesn't even need any glitter or glitz!

I diecut it with a Stitched Rectangle die, then stamped a sentiment from the retired Good Greetings down in the corner:

I mounted it with some dimensionals on a Whisper White card front, stamped a matching "merry christmas" sentiment on the inside, and it was done!  CAS and oh so pretty!  And since it fits the criteria at the January CAS Christmas Card Challenge of silhouettes, I am entering it there as well!

And I might as well toss it in the Krafty Chicks ring as well...they're looking for Christmas!

I hope you'll play along with our CAS challenge this week at the Players!  Can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to stop by the blog and see what the designers created as well!

Not only was our anniversary yesterday, it was also this special guy's birthday!  We celebrated with lasagne and an ice cream cake--yum!

And believe it or not, 38 years ago on the very same day, my best friend was having a baby shower for me....and Dana was born exactly a month later!!  And look at her now!

Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB152 Sparkle Treat Box

Hi stampers!  Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!  So it's full swing into Christmas!  Today's Inspired By Challenge is a sweet one, check it out, along with the optional sketch:

Aren't those little donut snowmen cute?!  I happened recently to be searching through every Christmas stamp I had, looking for a particular sentiment, and I found Mr Twigster!  I also happened to be using my Little Treat Box die and had cut out a red one, so they just sort of worked together!  Here we go:

I stamped Mr Twigster with Stazon black ink and colored him in with some SU markers, then fussy-cut him out.  The sentiment is from a retired set called Good Greetings.  The background was cut from the same Little Treat Box die, trimming it down, then stamping and embossing "snow" (Gorgeous Grunge) and embellishing it with some Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper:

I haven't figured what I'll put inside my little treat box, but it will be something yummy, that's for sure! I am entering this at the Little Red Wagon challenge, too, which is "Prepared for Christmas"!

I hope you'll play along with our adorable challenge this week...share it with us over at Inspired By!  Thanks for popping in today!

PP367 Sketch from Claire

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Claire is our Paper Players hostess with an awesome sketch today!  I pulled out some oldie but goodies for my creation!!  So here we go:

Last fall, I got some sweet stickers and DSP from Photo Play called Autumn Day, and I wanted to play with them to make a Thanksgiving-themed card!  I found some retired Mellow Moss cardstock for my card base and just mixed and matched some papers, stickers and elements for my "thankful" card:

Does anyone remember this little turkey?  He was a single stamp with "give thanks" underneath, both of which I unmounted from the wood block and created two separate stamps!  He looks pretty snazzy stamped in Chocolate Chip ink:

This sentiment is from Good Greetings, another retired stamp, and I accented the panel with some baker's twine and a Corrugated Elements heart:

And for the inside, another real oldie, from a set called Falling Leaves:

I am going to "pin" this sketch so I can go back to it again and again!  I hope you'll find a good use for it and share your creation with us at the Players this week!  Meanwhile, check out what the others did here:

And speaking of leaves, Cassidy raked up a few straggly leaves (sadly, our leaves are really pathetic this year!) and jumped in them:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
