TCH92 Feel Better Soon

Hello, everyone!  I haven't gotten my Country Flowers set inky for a while, and the Color Hues challenge of pink and brown got me to thinking!

So here we go:

I also used the TGIF Challenge sketch:

I began with some Pretty in Pink striped DSP, then added my Pecan Pie teapot and my pink and tan flowers:

The flowers were stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon ink so I could watercolor them in; the pot was stamped in Craft White ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  For fun, I adhered the layers of the pink DSP to a piece of white scrap paper, then ran it through the Eyelet embossing folder before adhering it to a mat of Crumb Cake. I also added some Crumb Cake leaves behind the flowers.  A sentiment from Unbounded Love and a few sequins finished it off.  This color combination kind of reminds me of Neopolitan ice cream, LOL!

The kids went to King's Dominion in Virginia over the weekend for Cassidy's birthday and did a spooky escape room:

The next day, they got stuck on a roller coaster!!! They were only a short distance from the end, but I guess they had to be rescued!  Yikes!

This is why I just watch from the sidelines, LOL! Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

HSS444 Beachy Hello

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Not much of a beachy day around here today, but I know the sun is shining somewhere! The challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments was intriguing:

Those little green apples with the hues of pink and gray were so cool!  I went searching for a sketch and found this one by Mary Fish; not sure of the date:

So after a disastrous first attempt, I came up with this:

I used a mix of old and new products!  The images are from the retired A Day at the Beach; the sentiment is from Choose Happy.  The embossing folder is also retired, Seaside.  The DSP panels are Pretty in Pink, and the gray striped DSP is from Country Lace. I heat-embossed the sunglasses in white on Berry Burst, and although you can't see it, the lenses are sparkly from Wink of Stella!  The popsicle was stamped on Soft Sea Foam cardstock in Granny Apple Green, and the starfish was sponged with Pretty in Pink ink:

And since this is for a friend who is recuperating, I added sentiments from Unbounded Love inside:

These are not colors I would normally put together, but I think they're fun!  Thanks so much for popping in today!

While my sister was visiting, we had to go to Longwood:

This is just one of the little pools, surrounded by purple, yellow and green flowers and foliage:

It was so hot that day, I was wishing I could have waded in!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS640 Ouch!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  Our congregation at church has had a rash of mishaps.....one young man was hit head-on by another car and broke both arms and legs; one older lady was on a treadmill at the local Y and fell off, dislocating both shoulders and breaking her nose and chin, and another older lady fell and broke her hip!  I had used up almost all my get-well cards, so when I saw the sketch at FMS, I thought it would be fun to use for my next card.  Here's the sketch:

I pulled out my trusty Back On Your Feet set, found some fun papers to use and went to work:

This card is really uber-simple! I diecut the plaid with the Radiating Stitches die and then found a scrap of Granny Apple Green polka-dotted paper that matched, so I stamped my turtle directly on to the DSP and fussy-cut him out.  A stamped the sentiments from the same set, diecutting them with an Ornate Frames die, and added a slightly larger one under Mr Turtle to make him stand out a bit better.

The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive on the inside.

I hope all my friends are back on their feet soon!  We miss them!  Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments for this is the duty of all mankind.  For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.  Escclesiastes 12:13-14

TSOT639 A Bright Get Well

ooHappy Wednesday, peeps!  Brrrr! It's COLD here in SE PA!  I have a hot pink card that should warm us up today! It uses the sketch from Try A Sketch on Tuesday:

I love this sketch because I love things in THREES!! Woohoo!  So here we go:

I wanted something bright for my friend so I pulled out some retired Magenta Madness cardstock; I thought some of the black and white prints from the Zoo Crew DSP and made some banners.  I attached them to my card front, which I had embossed with the Starry embossing folder.  I made a horizontal banner on which I stamped my sentiment, then added a white and Magenta Madness glimmer star.  I diecut four tiny black stars....the tiniest die I think I have in my inventory, to embellish the top right corner as well as the magenta star:

I added the inside star and another one floating around on my desk on the inside for fun:

I love this sketch...it's a keeper!

Dana is not much of a baker, she admits that, but wanted to make Wayne a cake for his birthday.  Unfortunately, she didn't have all the ingredients she needed, so she made him brownies, and made homemade peanut butter icing to go on top.  Since he loves those peanut blossom cookies, she decorated his cake with Hershey's kisses:

It was also our 25th wedding anniversary yesterday....here's John's cute decor that greeted me first thing in the morning....the plant was already there, he just did the "decor" and cards!

He's such a sweetie! Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!
