SSSC342 Boo!

Happy Firday, everyone! I need to make some Halloween cards....and I have SO MANY Halloween stamps and papers, where do I begin?  The Sunday Stamps sketch was a fun one, gave me a chance to dive into those supplies a wee bit!  Here's the sketch:

So here we go:

My papers are from Carta Bella (Happy Halloween), along with Granny Apple Green, Basic Beige and Basic Black cardstocks.  My cat image is from Close to My Heart, and the sentiment is from Recollections:

I added a Granny Apple Green foil banner to jazz it up a bit!  Here's the inside, a really old Lizzie Anne stamp:

I need more cards, so I guess I'd better get busy!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

JUGS699 CASE a Spooky Card

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I am waaaay late posting today, just couldn't get my mojo in gear!  My friend Michele had a cute card where she CASE'd the designer over at Just Us Girls, so I went to have a peek and found a really sweet Halloween card that got my creative juices flowing!  First, let's see the prompt:

And I chose to CASE Carol Mc; here's her cute card:

I found a scrap of Gorgeous Grape cardstock, pulled out some Halloween dies and this is what I came up with:

My card measures 4 1/4" x 3 3/4" and I used a Memory Box Small Madison Arched Window die to cut out the opening.  I stamped around the edges with a CTMH swirly star stamp, then added Impression Obsession diecuts:

The background paper is from Echo Park's Spooky pad, and it just happened to have a scrapbook block on the other side, so that went on the inside front under a piece of vellum:

I used a really old Lizzie Anne Halloween sentiment, I think it's the cutest!  And since I cut out an extra black cat, I added that in there too!

And I am also going to enter this at the Four Seasons blog, where they're looking for anything fall!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP647 At The Beach

Happy Sunday, peeps!  I am the hostess at the Paper Players this week, and our theme is At The Beach:

So many possibilities for this theme!  Stampin' Up! just came out with a beautiful new kit called Boho Beach, and they have the most gorgeous card backgrounds ever!  They look like those acrylic pours!  I chose to use one of them, but added some non-SU goodies that I've collected over the years!  So here we go:

I began by cutting a Tailor Made tag from Pecan Pie cardstock, and embossing a sweet little sentiment on it.  I was gifted a wonderful die set of sea-themed goodies, so I cut some out of watercolor paper and added them to the tag along with some random sequins:

And here's the inside, stamped in Pecan Pie and Lost Lagoon:

Here is one of the cards using the layout from the card kit; those envelopes are gorgeous too!

I am also going to pop my first card in over at TGIF, where their challenge this week is Beach Party!

I can't wait to see what you create for our theme!  The Design Team has created some amazing samples, so be sure to pop over to the Paper Players blog to check them out.  Get some inspiration, then share yours with us too!

Speaking of the beach, the kids went to the Delaware shore on Friday---a bit hazy due to the Canadian wildfires, but still a great day!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Snowmen Melt Your Heart

Happy Monday, peeps!  I have a fun little Christmas card using a really old Lizzie Anne stamp:

The Inkspirational and Little Red Wagon challenges both feature snow, and Hand Stamped Sentiments has a color challenge:

I stamped the snowmen in Misty Moonlight and colored them in with Blends, then added some glitter:

After diecutting it with the Nested Stitched Label dies, I mounted it on a Misty Moonlight cardbase which was stamped with some snowflakes from a retired SU set, and embellished it with some Old Olive ribbon and glimmer snowflakes.  Here's the inside:

I'll add it to my stash for next year!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Wish Upon a Starfish

Hello peeps, and happy Monday!  It's Mulch Monday here at the Pugliese residence, so I am sure my muscles will be aching tomorrow!  Anyway, I did get in a little stamping over the weekend; my CAS card fulfills three challenges:  TGIF264 wants watercoloring; Festive Friday is celebrating World Reef Awareness, and CAS(E) This Sketch has a fun sketch:

So here we go:

This is a really CAS card!  My main panel is Shimmery White, and the stamp set is a really old one from Lizzie Anne called Shore Thoughts.  I stamped the starfish in Weathered Wood Distress ink, then watercolored it in and added some So Saffron at the center.  The "ocean" is just some Balmy Blue ink and water, and I stamped the waves on top in Balmy Blue as well.  The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock and I mounted everything on a So Saffron base.  My inspo list includes water, starfish, pun sentiment and aqua!

I'll add a birthday sentiment on the inside!!  Thanks for popping in today!

Dana and I both did some flower planting this weekend!

Dana plants lots of pots and puts them in her flowerbed and on shepherd's hooks....easier to plant and water that way!

Well, I guess I do too!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB42 Spooky

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Laurel has a fun Halloween challenge for us today at Inspired By!  I very seldom do "gruesome" or scary Halloween cards, I gravitate towards cute and funny, but I did step out of my comfort zone a wee bit for today's:

So here's the prompt:

Yes, a skeleton would not be my normal go-to theme, but I did have this cute little one from a Recollections Halloween set, and I found some Halloween-themed DSP from several years ago with ravens on it instead of bats, so I layered it under this fun little poem that I stamped on vellum:

I put it inside a frame of Granny Apple Green, diecut with a wonky stitched die and popped it up with some of SU's foam strips; that gave it enough depth to read the words but still see the pattern below!  I stamped my skull in Whisper White and gave it a little shadowing with my SU blend, then added some twine and black glimmer stars:

And since I had the inside portion of the frame still sitting on my desk, I added a sentiment to it and layered it on the inside with another piece of the DSP:

I actually think my little skeleton is kinda cute!  I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week too!  Have fun with it!

I recently received this little box of Andes mints from one of my (very) crafty customers, Maryanne:

Of course, Cassidy ate the candy, but also wanted to make little boxes for Lee and Jackie!  We got the directions from Julie DiMatteo (you can see them HERE), and we picked out some cardstock and DSP and went to work!

Learning to use the Envelope Punch Board!

How does this turn into a box?????

Scoring intently:

And gluing the box together!

We didn't have time to decorate it, so we'll finish it tomorrow!  Thanks for popping in today--be blessed and enjoy your day!

JUGS452 and GDP150 Beachy Keen

Hi peeps!  Still struggling with my mojo, but I am persevering!  Today's card is for the Global Design Project sketch challenge (love things in threes!) and one I haven't done in a while, the Just Us Girls challenge of "beach":

So I knew I had a pretty seashell stamp set around somewhere....I searched and searched and finally found it, because I knew it would look lovely with this pretty little print from the Twinkle Twinkle DSP package:

I stamped the shell in Smoky Slate and used blends to color it in...they really are a dream to work with!  I added a sentiment and some layers for the horizontal piece, ending with some sequins and a little silver thread bow. And you can't see it, but the shell was highlighted with a Wink of Stella pen! My only "wish I hadn't done it" was the embossing on the card base; I always forget that the Seaside embossing folder really weakens the cardstock (should have used Thick!) and I think it detracts from the patterned paper...but it's done and maybe I will do another one...later!

Here are a few more birthday cards:

This gorgeous card from my teammate Laurie is FULL of sparkle!!

Billie's card is embossed in a fun way!

I love the colors and elements that Kristie used!

And Renita's colors and plaids are gorgeous!  Thanks, ladies!  I have many more so keep on the lookout!

Queen of the pool!

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!
