Scallop Tag Topper Card & a Sweet Gift

DSCF1889

Hi peeps!  Just a quick post today; this card is one of those cool cards made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.  You can see the video here.  It’s really easy and fun to do.  Here you go:

This was supposed to go home with my hostess on Monday night, but she forgot to take it, so I was able to photograph it (which I forgot to do earlier!) and give it to her when she picks up her order, LOL!  It uses the Bright Blossoms set, Birthday Basics paper and a couple of embossing folders along with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  Here’s the inside:

I know I have used this Crisp Cantaloupe/Pistachio Pudding combo before, but it is so fresh and springy, I couldn’t help using it again!  Here’s a wee closeup:

And my sweet friend Beth popped by to pick up her order, and gave me this little sweet treat, made with some DP and the Envelope Punch board.  Isn’t it adorable?!

She promises me they are easy to make, so I’ll be checking out the details out in blogland soon!!!

Cassidy & I made some really good spiced roll-out cookies the other day.  I’ll share the recipe with you soon!  They were delicious!

Paper Players 187

DSCF1383

Hey, everyone!  It’s Sunday….time for a new Paper Players challenge!  Jaydee is our hostess and she has a fine challenge for us this week:

Ooooh, aren’t those colors gorgeous!!!  They make my heart sing!  I think Crisp Cantaloupe is one of the prettiest peachy colors SU has ever made, and I couldn’t wait to use some of it on my card this week:

I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch 127 (because I love that too!):
When I received the Bright Blossoms stamp set, I cut apart all the stems, flowers and vases so I could interchange them more easily!  I stamped the vase and flowers in the Cantaloupe, and the stem in Pistachio Pudding.  A PP In Color Boutique Detail “button” was a perfect addition to my CAS card:

I added a little piercing to the bottom of the banner, and my final addition was some embossing using the Needlepoint Border EF.

I am sure it won’t be difficult for you to come up with a clean and simple  springy creation this week!  Share it with us at the Paper Players blog, and while you’re there, check out what the designers did this week:
I am not quite sure what Cassidy was doing with her play-doh to her doll, but she was obviously quite animated about it!

Luckily, it washes off easily!!  Enjoy your day!

ColourQ229

DSCF1023

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has a nice springy color palette for us today…and personally, I NEED it!  What do you think:

What a sweet little recipe box!  I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to incorporate these colors into my card, but I remembered my challenge to myself to use some neglected stamps, so I dusted off Bright Blossoms and went to work:

I thought the SAB embossing folder Decorative Dots worked perfectly with the images….cute match-up!  And Arielle’s Retrosketches sketches always seem to work so well with the ColourQ colors!  I used this week’s:

My sentiment and image are a little off, but hopefully she won’t mind!  Just seeing that pretty little tulip makes me believe that spring really will arrive eventually!

Hope you can play along too!  Check us out at the ColourQ!

Cassidy received a card in the mail from one of my sweet blog readers (thanks, Frenchie!!!):

A little effort to get the flap opened:

But look at the grin after she opened this cute Valentine card—she loved that owl (and so did I!):

ColourQ 222

DSCF0001

Howdy peeps!  Wow, the last day of 2013!  I, for one, am happy to kick 2013 out the door and see the last of it!  Phew, what a year!  I am ready to get back to my stamping routine because I have missed all my stamping friends!  And what an awesome inspiration Arielle has for us to close it out:

These colors allowed me to use a new set from the upcoming mini catalog, Geometrical, as well as some sets from the current catalog:

I used the square Mojo Monday sketch 326 for this week too, flipping it on its side:

I made my card 4 1/4” square, and used several sets for my images….I love mixing things up!  The stars are from Simply Stars; the background stamping is from Bright Blossoms and Gorgeous Grunge; and the inside sentiment is from Bring on the Cake.  And here’s the inside:

These are perfect colors for a New Year’s wish, or any celebration….like a birthday, as I did here!  Show us what you can create with these at the ColourQ blog and you might become the Queen!!  Have fun and have a blessed and safe New Year’s Eve!

Here’s my little princess, doing some artwork on the morning after Christmas!
