Pumpkin Patch

DSCF9509

You know I lament about my lack of scrapping skills, but I have a workshop tonight and there are scrappers there, so I wanted to try to make a current page to show them!  I have also been playing around with my Timeless Type alphabet dies and the Sissix Adhesive Sheets----a marvelous invention that allows you to adhere those little tiny diecut pieces without getting glue all over everything!  So here we go, and please don’t laugh too much about how bad my stamped alphabet is (because I am too lazy to use my stamp-a-ma-jig!):

I made some cute pumpkins with circle & oval punches and the Swirls & Scribbles die, which I also backed with an adhesive sheet for easy glue-down.  To use the adhesive sheet, cut a piece of it to fit your DP or cardstock; peel off the backing and stick the adhesive side to the back of your paper.  Run it through your diecutting machine with the good side down.  Voila, you have your own stickers!! Just peel off the backing and adhere to your project!

All the stamped images are from SU’s set Best Friends Forever, which added a perfect blend of elements and nature!  I am also submitting this to the Our Creative Corner challenge which is pumpkins!!  Thanks for visiting today!

Wee Details:

  • Stamps:  Best Friends Forever, Just Perfect Alphabet
  • Paper:  Wild Wasabi Textured 12x12, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi & Pumpkin Pie Patterns DP
  • Ink:  Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango
  • Acc:  Lots of Tags, Timeless Type Alphabet, and Swirls & Scribbles Dies; Large Oval, Small Oval and 1 3/8” Circle Punches, Adhesive Sheets, Marker

ColourQ97

DSCF4159

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  It’s ColourQ time, and you are going to “flip” for Arielle’s fun color inspiration  today:

cqc97

It seems like I haven’t stamped anything but cards, cards, cards, lately!  So I perused my massive photo collection of Cassidy and thought this black and white photo would make a great scrapbook page using these colors:

CQC97-LeAnne

Now, I have shared my phobia of scrapping….I always do really simple pages because I just feel intimidated by those 144 square inches of space!  Plus, they are tough to photograph!  (And already looking at this, I am seeing things I would change if I could do it again!)  Anyway, this one is no different—a simple 12x12 Basic Black base, Pool Party Patterns DP and some pennants cut from Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango:

The letters are from the Just Perfect Alphabet; I punched them out with a 3/4” circle punch and mounted them on the pennants, which are strung on some baker’s twine.  The little clouds are a die from Lil’ Inker, cut from vellum cardstock and sponged with craft white ink:

The remaining embellishment is a flower using the Fun Flowers die and the Triple Layer Blossom Bouquet punch, centered with a Pool Party brad and mounted on a white doily:

DSCF4159-1 Cassidy is too young to wear flip flops yet, but she does love to wiggle her toes in the grass!  I just love this photo of her!  And now that she is almost walking, here’s what I am dealing with in my craft room:

Thanks for visiting today—and please hop on over to the ColourQ blog today and play along with us!  And if you have any questions about my page, shoot me an email!

CQC77

DSCF0144

Ay, caramba!  Arielle’s color challenge today for the ColourQ really had me going!  What do you think:

cqc77

A gorgeous inspiration photo!  But Concord Crush  scares me!  But I persevered,  and I thought I would take my little “jewel” of a DGD and make a 6x6 scrapbook page, since her mommy likes to dress her in purple:

I am scrapbook-challenged, as you know, and this little page took a lot longer than it should have!  Anyway, there are lots of little embellishments:

See the little raggedy edge of the journaling piece?  That’s the top edge of a piece of DP torn from its binding.  I fished it out of the trash---shameful, but that little edge was so cute, I couldn’t resist!  Not much stamping, mostly doodads…..now if I would just do some more to add to my scrapbook!

Take a scoot on over to the CQC blog to see what the others have come up with.  We’d love to see your take on these fabulous colors!  (If you have any questions about anything used here, just shoot me an email…..I am feeling too lazy to write it all down!!!)

Paper Players Challenge 30

DSCF6198-1

Happy Sunday to you!  It’s another Paper Players challenge today, and this week my sweet friend Nance is our hostess!  She’s chosen these colors for her Color Challenge:

CC30

I am trying to improve my scrapbooking skills….they’re very basic because I just don’t do it very often!  All that space—how to fill it!?  I also don’t have a very good photo printer, and I often would like to have smaller pictures than what I can get from the photo processing sites.  But anyway, I did manage to print out a sepia photo of my DGD and thought it would be sweet with Nance’s colors:

This Springtime Vintage paper had all the challenge colors in it, so I mounted it on a piece of 8 1/2 x 11” River Rock cardstock; I added a 6x6” panel of Rose Red Patterns DP and a couple Baja Breeze Top Note panels:

Like most people, I dislike my handwriting, but did it anyway…..I added some flourishes from the pretty new set, Easter Blossoms, which also has the blossom image that’s stamped on the Top Notes.  I added a few button, lace & ribbon flourishes as well as a couple of diecut flowers from Birds & Blooms.

Now, we hope that you’ll play along with us over at the Paper Players and show us what lovely creations you can make with these colors!  Thanks for visiting today!

I Actually Scrapped!

DSCF4838

I am not a very good scrapbooker, but since I now have a granddaughter and take pictures all the time, I really have no excuse not to at least TRY to do a page now and then.  This one was very simple, as I wanted to highlight the beautiful SU Deck the Halls DP:

DSCF4840

I added a few die cut Crumb Cake snowflakes that had been embossed with Versamark ink and Iridescent Ice EP to complement my sepia photo:

DSCF4839

I also stamped a portion of Christmas Collage on vellum in White craft ink and used the Square Scallop diecut:

DSCF4838-1

I adhered everything with Dotto, as I will probably re-do my journaling piece as I am not really happy with it.  Even though it’s not “expert”, I think it will give my customers an idea of how pretty the papers are!

Since my little Cassidy sounds like Snuffleupagus today with a little congestion, she is not in the mood for having her photo taken!  Instead, on this gray, rainy day, my cat Pumpkin has taken over my computer desk (and now you can see how messy my desk is!):

DSCF4842

As you can see, I don’t have much room to use my mouse…or my calculator or my card reader…..oh well, she doesn’t grace me with her presence very often, so I am enjoying her company, even with her back to me!  Enjoy your day!

I Don’t Scrapbook…

DSCF7312

although I wish I did!   No reasons why, I just don’t have the patience I guess.  But a little 6x6 layout usually doesn’t take too long and since I have a workshop tonight with some scrappers, and my DD recently got married, I thought I could do at least one page!!

DSCF7310

I love this picture of Dana & Charlie; I tinted it sepia and mounted it on a piece of Close to Cocoa that I had wheeled with the Very Vintage wheel (at an angle).  I used the Poppin’ Pastels technique for the flourish from Friends 24-7, using Chocolate Chip chalk.  The “three little words” sentiment is embossed in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and clear EP; the “i love you” is stamped in Chocolate Chip and I did the same Poppin Pastels technique on the circle, but barely touched it with the chalk.  I don’t have any journaling on this one right now…..maybe I’ll add the date at the bottom below the photo.  Thanks for visiting today!
