Quick Hyacinths for Easter

Happy Friday, peeps! I have a quick card today for a few challenges!  The As You See It challenge is a speed challenge, looking for flowers; the Flower Challenge wants a square card; and Retro Rubber is also looking for spring flowers!

And first, a disclaimer; the stamps I used are two-step stamps and I did NOT use a stamp platform because of the speed stamping challenge, so they may look a little blurry....hope your eyes don't cross while looking at them, LOL!  But here we go:

First, let me say that this uber-simple card took me just under six minutes to create, mostly because I had all my supplies at the ready, and as I said, I didn't use a stamp platform except to stamp the words!  The card is 4 1/4" square, and my stamps are from a 2020 set from W+9 called Spring Blessings, stamped in Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron and Garden Green:

I added a quick little bow of Crinkled Seam Binding, and the inside sentiment is from SU's God Bless II, from 2002!  It's an oldie for sure!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Praise God with shouts of joy, all people! Sing to the glory of his name; offer him glorious praise!
Psalm 66:1-2

AYSI81 and FF 61 for Easter

DSCF9007

Happy Saturday, everyone!  We have a busy day—we are headed to the circus in Baltimore!  So I made a few last-minute Easter cards yesterday for my small group members using the As You See It sketch for this week:

AYSIChallenge081

as well as the colors from the Fab Friday challenge:

I recently found a lovely blog called The Paper Caper, and Jess had a tutorial for making a little diecut cross using the Little Letters dies.  You can see it here.  I used her idea, but I used the smaller Chalk Talk die and backed the cross with SU’s Gold Foil:

I made five of these, using pastel shades for the die and flowers; I used images from Kinda Eclectic, Summer Silhouettes, Bordering Blooms and some of them had Gorgeous Grunge as well.

I did some heat embossing in gold, using the Easter sentiment from the retired set, Delightful Dozen:

I used the sunburst from Kinda Eclectic on the inside as well, along with a sentiment from God Bless II:

We did some egg-dying on Thursday, but first she had to peel one of the cracked ones:

and of course, she had to try to dye her peeled egg as well, LOL!

Happy Tuesday!  Arielle has the sweetest color palette for us today….check this out:

If my creative mojo wasn’t sapped by my 3-week-long sinus infection, I think I could have made a couple of these little Easter baskets myself---just little paper favor cups, I think!  Sweet!  I had to settle for a plain ole card:

Although I often do things in threes, I was inspired by these pretty cards from my friend Diane’s blog; I just translated it a bit differently.  I originally had three eggs placed in different places, but ended up with little flowers from Itty Bitty Bits.  The egg is from last year’s Easter Blossoms, and the sentiments are from a retired set called God Bless II.  The letters are cut from the Timeless Type die set.

I am also entering this in the Just Add Ink 111 Challenge – Easter; and Stampin’ Royalty’s Spring Thing Challenge #117.

Here’s a non-stamping related question.  Check out this pic of the baby:

Can you see the red rash on her cheeks?  She has had this for several months, all around her mouth.  It does not seem to bother her; I have looked it up online and it seems to be fairly common, but no one knows how to prevent it or heal it, or even what causes it!  She is not teething; she doesn’t seem to be allergic to anything.  It seems it may be from saliva, but I am interested if any other moms/grandmoms out there have any advice!!!  She just had a 18-month check-up at the doctor’s but she was screaming so frantically that I totally forgot to ask the doctor what it might be!!  I am interested in hearing your comments!
