MTS122 and CCC22

Happy Monday everyone!  I've got a Christmas card for you today!  It uses the Match the Sketch challenge:

As well as the Christmas Card Challenge photo challenge:

I had been thinking that I had not used Christmas Collage for a long time, and when I saw the photo inspiration, I knew I had to use it!  I inked it up in White Craft ink, stamped it on Cherry Cobbler cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder:

I added some randomly-placed circles of  various colors of glimmer paper, and added a Christmas sentiment from Petite Pairs (gonna miss that sweet little set!):

I really love how this turned out!  Thanks for popping by!

Cassidy's friend Dominic had his fifth birthday party yesterday at a trampoline park:

They had LOTS of fun jumping, jumping, jumping!!  Enjoy your day!

PPA284 Another Baby Card

Happy Monday, peeps!  Wow, what a weekend...what a blizzard!  I think we got about 30-36" of fluffy white stuff!  It snowed for more than 24 hours!  Hope everyone weathered the storm okay!  I did get to spend a little time stamping, this time I played with the Pals Paper Arts sketch:

PPA-284-Jan21

Another baby card...not sure why I have babies on my mind, but this DSP was laying on my desk, and it's sort of an odd color for a baby card--Tip Top Taupe--but the prints were cute, so I went with it!  It's about as simple as you can get..a bit of starry embossing on the Very Vanilla card base, a couple of sentiments punched out with circle punches and some VV thick twine:

I did do a little playing around with a couple of the sentiments from Greatest Greetings on the inside.....fun to mix them up!

Only one little picture of Cassidy...she was at her daddy's this weekend weathering the storm with Lambie and Chase...and a wee bit tuckered out:

Enjoy your day!

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Another sympathy card today, this one using Arielle’s Retrosketches sketch and the ColourQ color palette, neither of which I’ve played with in quite a while:

First, I flipped the sketch so my little bird wouldn’t be staring off into space!  I used a Sahara Sand card base and stamped the Dictionary background stamp on it with Versamark so it wasn’t too dark.  Then I went to work on my elements:

I had a scrap of textured Soft Sky in my scrap pile, so I stamped it with a MFT Distressed Background Blocks stamp, then added a diecut bird and some diecut leaves from the same Lawn Fawn set as yesterday’s card:

Same Petite Pairs sentiment too, since it was already on my desk!  Thanks for visiting today!

KJ241 Sympathy

DSCF1871-001

Just a quick card today; unfortunately, I need a couple of sympathy cards this week, so I used the Kraft Journal’s Take Your Pick challenge for one of them:

I chose patterned paper (some really old Basic Grey stuff in my stash); leaves and die cuts (my favorite Lawn Fawn stitched leaves) for my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Leafy Sympathy Paper Pumpkin

The base is Crumb Cake, and I used last month’s Paper Pumpkin stamp set for the sentiment.  I had a few extra leaves cut out, so I added them, plus  sentiments from Petite Pairs, on the inside:

Happy Saturday, peeps! Hope your weekend is moving along nicely!  Unfortunately, I needed another sympathy card this week, and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch came to the rescue:

Petite Pairs has the nicest sympathy sentiments for inside and outside your card, so I used it with the new Tags & Labels Framelits, the small and large butterfly punches and Pretty Petals DSP:

I stamped the larger fern from Awesomely Artistic on the tag, and added some washi to the smaller butterfly.  Its antenna was created with some baker’s twine, and I added a little shimmery sequin just because!

And here’s the simple inside:

Enjoy your day, and be sure to come back tomorrow for our next Paper Players challenge!

Happy Thursday, everyone!  Ahhh, the weekend is in sight!  Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card this week but I had some of the gorgeous new Timeless Elegance DSP, and thought the rose pattern would be perfect:

It’s so pretty, I didn’t need to do much; I started out with a Sahara Sand card base;  I added a diecut border that I embellished with some machine-stitching for the Little Red Wagon challenge this week, then a banner, a sentiment and some pearls.  Sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches:

Thanks for visiting!

A day of play was just too much for Cassidy (and her doll!):

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a card for two beautiful challenges today:  the sketch from Retrosketches and gorgeous photo inspiration from Just Add Ink:

And here’s my card:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings French Foliage Feathers Stampin Up
I used a Sahara Sand card base and Sahara Sand and Lost Lagoon inks for my creation; I used the retired French Foliage for the leaves and speckles stamped on the Very Vanilla panel, and I made stencils with the Feathers Framelits dies and sponged in my feathers.  I don’t have the Four Feathers stamp set, so I just drew in some lines with my Island Indigo marker!  I added some light blue sequins too:

and for the embellishments on the left, some larger sequins adorned with taupe pearls:

My banner sentiment is from Petite Pairs, and I added some Lost Lagoon ribbon trim!  Hope you like it!
Cassidy and Dana went to the Baltimore Zoo last weekend, so I’ll have some interesting photos to show you over the next few days!  Obviously, Cassidy is riding a camel here!  What a cool experience!  I hope she remembers it when she gets older!

Happy Friday, peeps!  Sadly, I am always feeling rushed these days!  So my Freshly Made Sketches card using the Colour Me…! colors is pretty simple!  Here’s the sketch:

here’s the color challenge:

and here’s my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Artistic Outpost A Lovely Day Petite Pairs Sympathy Stampin UP

This image is from the same Artistic Outpost set, A Lovely Day, that featured the pink bike in this post!  I have never inked up this lovely tulip image, and I am always needing sympathy cards, so it seemed like a good match.  I stamped it in Crisp Cantaloupe, then filled it in with a blender pen and CC ink.  I added a few little shadowy doodads around the greenery with Smoky Slate:

The striped mat is a recycled piece from a Clearly Besotted package!!  I’ve just been waiting for a project on which to use it!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy “graduated” from her first gymnastics class…on to the next one!

DSCF9455

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I found myself needing another sympathy card this week so I pulled out some beautiful Graphic 45 Botanical Tea papers I have been hoarding, along with the Match The Sketch sketch from this week:

to create my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Bible Verse Sympathy Papillion Potpourri

I love how all the patterns on these papers coordinate.  I used my drop-arm cutter to cut the right-hand panel out and flipped it over to the other side, which was a vanilla with a very light mottled tone.  I stamped French Script on it very lightly in Pistachio Pudding, the over-stamped the leaves from Kinda Eclectic in the same ink.  My cutting blade is very dull, so the edges of my panel were sort of distressed, so I sponged them with Sahara Sand before fitting it back into the green panel.  I used a retired Cornish Heritage Farms Bible verse, stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on top:

DSCF9456

I added the large butterfly from Papillion Potpourri, stamped in Chocolate Chip and colored with Pistachio ink atop a couple of circular elements, then I pulled out a stamp I haven’t used in AGES,  Waltzingmouse’s Country Labels 4 and stamped my sentiment from Petite Pairs inside:

DSCF9458

I love this layout as well as these papers, so hopefully I will be using them both again soon!

Baby Mike (yes, I know, he’s either naked or wearing a dress….don’t try to influence a 4YO, they do what they want to do) got some play time outside recently:
