DSCF5283

Hey, peeps, it’s Tuesday, and that means another cool color challenge from Arielle for the ColourQ!  Here you go:

Definitely a boyish color combo, although it doesn’t necessarily have to be!  I inked up some images from Geometrical and A Fitting Occasion, both of which have been neglected, and paired them with a sentiment from a new Project Life set called Remember This:

I added some scallops and zigzags, and popped it all on a panel that I embossed with the Alphabet EF:

I added a little sentiment (and hat!) to the inside as well:

Sentiment is from Fabulous Four!  I hope you can come play with us this week!

I am regretful that I haven’t played with Lesley’s sketch challenge, Seize the Sketch, for a long time!  So I remedied that with a card for a friend who is going through a long bout with cancer; he is nearing the end,  but we wanted to let him know we miss him at church and that we are praying for him!  So here’s the sketch:

I only have a couple of the new DPs and when I got this Confetti Celebration, I thought….WHAT am I going to do with this?!!!  But I persevered, remembered Geometrical with its fun triangle elements and went to work!

Once I got going, I was having a blast with all the colors: Tangelo Twist, Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, Hello Honey, Basic Gray and Pistachio Pudding!!!  Sounds like a really potent drink, doesn’t it?!  I also used some Sweet Sadie Washi Tape and a Candy Dot!!!  Fun!

I also used a sentiment from Sweet Stuff and a little star from Something to Say!  Thanks for visiting today!

We went to a local pool yesterday and Grammy did not slather on enough sunscreen on her wee one’s face!  After a short nap, she played in her sandbox….but truthfully, she was exhausted!  Can you tell?

RAKS and Some More New Stuff

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I had a busy morning, so this post is a little later than I intended!  I have such great, creative friends…they treat me to fun little goodies and send me cool cards!  Here are a couple I received lately!

This is a cute little “vase” of flowers and a sweet little packet containing a tea bag, all created by my customer/friend Joan:

She did such a great job on these; Cassidy was quite enthralled with the flowers and wanted to take them out to smell them!!  And my friend Martha made me this awesome card full of washi goodness:

Isn’t that a fun way to use washi?  Love it!  And finally, one more little card I created using a new In Color called Tangelo Twist and the new set, Something to Say (along with Geometrical and Zoo Babies):

New Goodies!

DSCF2970

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Three cards today, all using some sort of new product from the upcoming catalog!  I went on a card-making blitz Tuesday morning to make some samples for my club girls, and this part of my stack!

The first one is a tall, skinny card using the new In Color Blackberry Bliss, new Moonlight DSP, new stamp set called Something to Say, and Six-Sided Sampler:

This one uses the new In Color Lost Lagoon (LOVE this) with Geometrical and Bootiful Occasions as well as the Cloudy Day embossing folder, still available on the Clearance Rack!  The boot was stamped with Memento ink, which will be available to use with the new Blendabilities, which I used on the boot as well….a learning curve with them, for sure, but fun to use!

Finally, a cute little card made with a portion of a card from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection.  I cut part of it off to use with my scrapbook page (YES, I am actually scrapbooking!) and thought it would be cute on a card.  It uses the little heart from Something to Say, punched out with the new little heart punch and embellished with the new thicker Baker’s Twine in Strawberry Slush.  Sentiment is from Yippee Skippee!

And speaking of strawberries, here’s one:

DSCF1571
Happy Friday, peeps!  Just a quick card today, a little notecard-sized thank you…..it uses the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday sketch:
as well as the AWESOME photo inspiration from Stampin’ Royalty:

Aren’t these fun images?  I used the little polka-dotted image from Geometrical, stamping it twice and punching one out smaller with the corner of the Triangle punch, and punching the other out with the small heart punch, then using them to embellish the arrow image:

I used a sentiment from Another Thanks; diecut is from the Perfect Pennants Bigz Die, and the horizontal piece is embossed with the Chevron embossing folder.

I finished it off with some rhinestones that I colored with a black sharpie!!
We began some Easter crafts this week, painting egg carton cups that will eventually become Easter bunnies:

ColourQ232

DSCF1323
Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Woohoo, you know what that means…ColourQ day!  Check out this cute little inspirational photo:

I have been itching to play with some vellum, particularly making a little pocket or envelope, and this seemed the perfect time:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ232 Vellum Pocket Geometrical

I cut a piece of vellum 4 3/4 x 11”, cut one short end with the Adorning Accent Edgelit die, then folded it and sewed the sides to make my pocket.  The banners are punched with the little SAB banner punch (if you make your paper just a wee bit narrower than the punch, you can slip it into the back of the punch to make your banners longer!), using various papers and cardstocks.

DSCF1327

The “newsprint” is from the Shop Around jumbo wheel, and the sentiment is from Geometrical.  I inked up my stamp with Versamark, then Lucky Limeade ink, stamped it on the vellum, sprinkled on Heat & Stick powder; heated it; then sprinkled on some Martha Stewart glitter and heated it again.  I love the unusual font against the vintage feel of the rest of the pocket!

DSCF1326

I used the Chalk Talk dies to punch a little oval in the top of the pocket, then added some hand-dyed shabby seam ribbon and black & white baker’s twine.  Of course when it was ALL finished, I decided it was a little too plain, so I inked up the swirl from Everything Eleanor in white and stamped it in the open areas:

This will be perfect in which to put a little SU gift certificate, doncha think?

Thanks for stopping by today, and be sure to pop over to the ColourQ blog to see what the other creative courtiers have made for you today!

I shared with you earlier Cassidy’s Christmas cookies made of play-doh; here is she is, “baking” them in the oven (it was not turned on, don’t worry!):

And here she is, “blowing” on them, to cool them off!

Quite a pile of cookies, wouldn’t you say?
