CAS Easter

Happy Monday peeps!  I have an uber-CAS Easter card using a couple of challenges today!  The first is the CAS on Sunday challenge, which is to use a stencil, and the second is the TGIF color challenge:

I pulled out a little die that features a tulip and went to work:

I stenciled the little octagon with a polka dot stencil in Pool Party, and diecut the tulip in the Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.  The sentiment is from an older SU set called Easter Blossoms, and it all went on a Basic White panel that was embossed with the Stitched With Whimsy die.  I added a little purple rhinestone for fun:

The inside of the Pool Party card was stamped with a sentiment from Graceful Words, another older SU set:

I need to make a few more of these, Easter will be coming up soon!  Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy played her first soccer game yesterday; these pictures aren't real good, as she was playing pretty far up the field!

She was playing defense, so she didn't score any goals, but her team won!  AND it felt like winter on the sidelines!  I wish spring would warm up!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

CAS Easter

DSCF8770

Hi everyone!  I have a simple card for you today, as my sinuses have once again knocked me for a loop!  I took it easy yesterday but I did manage to get in a little stamping time!  This card is for three challenges!  The Kraft Journal’s Make It Monday 216 was a CAS faith card; the Retro Rubber challenge is to use embossing powder:

RRCB10

and I loosely used the sketch from RetroSketches:

I got some free cards in the mail (you know the ones!) and I tossed the cards, but kept the envelopes, as they were a bit larger than the standard A2.  They came in handy, because this card had to be made a bit larger in order to accommodate the lovely Darice cross embossing folder I used:

I used a Crumb Cake card base and a piece of Simple Stories’ Harvest Lane for the rustic floral panel. I matted my Very Vanilla piece on Cherry Cobbler, then heat-embossed the retired sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink as well:

I don’t typically think of these colors for Easter, but I think it’s a nice departure from pastels!  Hope you like it!

A note to my local Stampin’Up! customers:

My apologies in advance; you don’t know it, but my granddaughter plays with your purchases before I can put them in your bags!  I promise you, they’re perfectly fine!  Sometimes she sings to them:

sometimes she lines them up:

and sometimes she stacks them up:

Thank you for allowing your purchases to entertain her for a good 45 minutes!  Enjoy your day!

A get well card this morning using the colors from Colour Me…!, shown below:

and the sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday:

And here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Get Well Stampin Up Easter Blossoms

I don’t usually do well with Asian themes, but I did remember the retired Easter Blossoms had a cherry blossom image, so I stamped it in Early Espresso ink and used my Chalk pen to fill in the flowers.  My Very Vanilla background was “stamped” by inking the raised portion of the Honeycomb embossing folder with So Saffron ink and lightly pressing it on the cardstock.  I added some butterfly images from Dreams du Jour and some Gorgeous Grunge splatters:

A sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes and some So Saffron banners finished it off.  Thanks for visiting today!

A new batch of homemade play-doh!

Colour Me…! 21

DSCF3068

Hi peeps!  It’s Wednesday, and time for another Colour Me…! challenge!  This week the colors are subtle…and look how pretty they are:

I was so excited when I saw this inspiration photo, because I had received a window frame die for Christmas and hadn’t used it yet!  So here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Stampin Up Colour Me 21 Easter Blossoms

I cut out two windows and pieced them together, then stamped the blossoms from the retired Easter Blossoms set on the white panel behind it.  I used a marker to ink up the stems:

I also stamped the blossoms on a piece of vellum (which is curling up unattractively!) and lightly brayered over the vellum with a light dusting of Primrose Petals ink.  My Early Espresso panel is embossed with the Fancy Fan EF and trimmed with edges punched with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch.

I also used the Technostamper sketch for this week, turning it on its side:

The other designers have made some wonderful creations with these charming colors this week…check them all out at the Colour Me…! blog, and play along with us as well!  Can’t wait to see what you create!

We made Grampy a cake the other day, and Cassidy learned how to butter the pan; she was really doing a great job, too!

I think she’ll be baking a cake by the time she’s four!

PPA167 & WAW

DSCF7287

Yay, it’s Friday, peeps!  Now if the sun would just come out and stay out here in PA, I would be happy!!  But speaking of happy, check out these happy colors from the Pals Paper Arts gals:
PPA166

I used a mixture of new and “vintage” products for my card today:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings PPA167

I used an older Deconstructed Sketch for my layout, #112; the sentiment is from one of the very first SU stamps I purchased, Say it with Scriptures….and sadly, it is so old, the rubber has deteriorated a bit and I am not getting good impressions.  Anyone have one they’d like to part with?  I may have to check eBay for a good deal!  I embossed the textured cardstock panels with the SAB Vine Street EF and added a few embellishments.  I colored the center of my Pistachio Pudding embellishment with a Sharpie, just to highlight it a bit:

DSCF7289

I think these colors are just lovely together!  What do you think?  This is also for Word Art Wednesday, where they have an “Anything Goes” challenge!

The garage project is progressing….we have a big hole in the ground!  They poured footers Wednesday and a whole inviting pile of stone was dumped in the driveway!  Cassidy & my great-nephew Jack couldn’t resist the climb:

Cassidy was definitely queen of the hill!  Thanks for visiting today!

Happy Tuesday!  Arielle has the sweetest color palette for us today….check this out:

cqc131

If my creative mojo wasn’t sapped by my 3-week-long sinus infection, I think I could have made a couple of these little Easter baskets myself---just little paper favor cups, I think!  Sweet!  I had to settle for a plain ole card:

CQC131-LeAnne

Although I often do things in threes, I was inspired by these pretty cards from my friend Diane’s blog; I just translated it a bit differently.  I originally had three eggs placed in different places, but ended up with little flowers from Itty Bitty Bits.  The egg is from last year’s Easter Blossoms, and the sentiments are from a retired set called God Bless II.  The letters are cut from the Timeless Type die set.

 DSCF0156 Here’s the inside sentiment:

DSCF0157

I am also entering this in the Just Add Ink 111 Challenge – Easter; and Stampin’ Royalty’s Spring Thing Challenge #117.

Here’s a non-stamping related question.  Check out this pic of the baby:

DSCF0138

Can you see the red rash on her cheeks?  She has had this for several months, all around her mouth.  It does not seem to bother her; I have looked it up online and it seems to be fairly common, but no one knows how to prevent it or heal it, or even what causes it!  She is not teething; she doesn’t seem to be allergic to anything.  It seems it may be from saliva, but I am interested if any other moms/grandmoms out there have any advice!!!  She just had a 18-month check-up at the doctor’s but she was screaming so frantically that I totally forgot to ask the doctor what it might be!!  I am interested in hearing your comments!

Paper Players Sketch Challenge 44

DSCF0663

Happy Easter to everyone!  What a wonderful day to celebrate the Risen Saviour and the gift He has given us!!!  I have one more Easter card to share with you for today’s Paper Players challenge.  This week, Lesley came up with a super sketch:

April 24 PP44 sketch

Since I had been using these lovely Elegant Soiree papers last week, they were still on my desk, and I thought they would make a really pretty card combined with the Easter Blossoms set:
