JUGS New Stuff

Hi peeps!  I had a low-key weekend, only did a wee bit of stamping, and it was easy stamping as well!  I needed several thank you cards, so I did some assembly line-style stamping using the new SAB set, So Very Much and the new Occasions catalog set, Perfect Mix:

I love the little puns in the Perfect Mix set!  I stamped the graters with Basic Black ink on different colors of the Festive Birthday DSP, then stamped the "Thank You" in white craft ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I did add a little shading with some ink and an aquapainter on each one.  The Pumpkin Pie one got some enamel dots as an embellishment in the lower left corner:

And the Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise ones got a thin strip of Basic Black cardstock as their embellishment:

Fun, quick and easy to make!  And since these are new stamp sets, I am entering them in Just Us Girls' "New" challenge:

Thanks for popping in today!  Have a blessed day!

My little snow angel!

Paper Players 326 Recycled Thanks

Happy Sunday, peeps!  The Paper Players are back after a holiday break, and I am the first hostess of the year!  I've chosen a "recycling" theme...recycle something on your project--maybe an embellishment, a ribbon or tag!  It could even be something from the mail or an old book!  Use your imagination!

My recycled item was a note card sent home by Cassidy's teacher....I just could not let that gorgeous glittery gold sentiment go to waste!  I trimmed the card down, mounted it on a piece of gold foil cardstock (cut the center of it out to use for another project) and put it on a Dapper Denim card:

I had just received this pretty gold ribbon available through Sale-a-bration, so I cut a slit under the "t" and at the fold in the card and slid it through.  My final embellishment was to add two stars from Every Occasion, stamped in Dapper Denim also, and embellished with a tiny dot of champagne glimmer paper:

I hope you'll find something to recycle on a card, and that you'll share it with us at the Players!  Meanwhile, check out what the others did...and we have new guest designers, so you'll want to say hi to them as well!
A little snow, a two-hour school delay, cold temps but no wind=sledding fun!

Enjoy your day!

CTS203 Hello Love

Happy Friday, peeps!  We got our first snowfall of the season last night...it's so pretty!  And I promised a non-Christmas card, so I broke out the new SU set called Sealed with Love and paired it with the CAS(E) the Sketch challenge for this week:

They have some beautiful samples there this week, too...you should check them out!  So here we go:

I used the Swirly Scribbles die to cut my curve at the bottom of the white panel, and adhered some Sending Love DSP to the bottom of my Real Red card.  I stamped my heart in Real Red and used the Love Notes die to cut it out....SO fun, with the little opening.....and mounted it on a Real Red Swirly Scribbles circular element and added some red glimmer hearts and sequins:

I stamped the sentiment in red as well, and added some speckles in Sweet Sugarplum...I always hesitate to add red speckles....sort of reminds me of a crime scene.  Pink speckles..not so much.  I stamped and diecut the inside image as well....this font is so pretty!

There are lots of images in this set, so I think I am just getting warmed up with it!  Stay tuned for more!

Cassidy was quite intent on feeding her new baby doll:

Her eyelashes are gorgeous....her hair is another story!  Good thing it's covered up!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Silver and Angels

Just a quick little card today....another Christmas card (I PROMISE to have some Valentines soon!) using the FMS sketch, the Merry Monday angel challenge and the Happy Little Stampers Christmas challenge:

I realized I don't have any angel stamps.....but I did have some pretty angelic paper that I embellished with some silver foil and silver glimmer paper, and embossed silver sentiment:

The sentiment was cut with a Stitched Shape square die, then backed with a Layering Square silver foil mat:

On top of the silver foil scallops, I added some white and silver baker's twine from a Paper Pumpkin kit:

I love all the sparkle!  Thanks for popping in!

Cassidy and Mommy did some fingerprinting with her spy kit:

I love her "alias"....that's what Mommy calls her!!!

Have a blessed day!

Mojo Monday 478 Birthday

Hi peeps!  Since yesterday was the last day to order from the Holiday catalog, I thought I would use Basket of Wishes one more time for a birthday card, using the Mojo Monday sketch:

I am trying to use some of the In Colors a little more, so I chose Sweet Sugarplum and Delightful Dijon for the flowers, Mint Macaron for the leaves and Tip Top Taupe for the basket:

I watercolored the image after stamping it on thick white cardstock with Basic Black ink and diecutting it with a Stitched Shapes die:

I stamped my own background using images from Jar of Love, Butterfly Basics and Touches of Texture, added a border of Delightful Dijon dsp and some white twine, then used another Stitched Shapes die for the sentiment inside:

Thanks for visiting today!

I ordered a puzzle for Cassidy for Christmas featuring pictures of her and Mommy!  She enjoyed putting it together at Aunt Mimi's house while the adults chatted:

Have a blessed day!

Stamp Ink Paper 80 - Get Well Bird

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I am thrilled that I've been asked to be on the Stamp Ink Paper DT on a permanent basis!  Today's challenge is cardmaker's choice!
Image may contain: text

Honestly, this was more difficult than I imagined, because I have SO MANY favorites!!  My favorite on  any given day might change with the season, my mood or the holiday!  Anyway, I decided in the end on this sweet bird from Red Lead, along with some other images I randomly stamped on some pretty Pool Party-hued paper from Fancy Pants:

It wasn't hard to choose my favorite color, and I love birds, and I love collage stamping, and I love shabby ribbon, so the rest was easy!  There are feathers, eggs, lace and postmarks, all stamped in various shades.....the eggs (Nature Walk) were colored with some ink and a blender pen, cut out and popped up:

I added a tag, also lightly stamped with a honeycomb design:

and the inside sentiment was stamped over the egg image as well!  I never have enough get well cards, so this is beginning my stash!  I'll have the supply list at the bottom!

Just thought I would share a photo from the weekend get-together with John's family!  Here are some amazing women that I am blessed to have in my family:

Me, John's sister Mimi, John's sister-in-law Colleen, and John's stepmother, Trish!  Mimi is a great hostess and we had a wonderful brunch together.  And here are a few of the guys...they seem to be deep in discussion, probably solving the world's problems:

John's BIL Charlie, his stepfather Bob, John, and Dana's boyfriend Wayne!  I think the girls were having more fun than the guys, though, LOL!

Enjoy your day and thanks for popping in!

Lazy Christmas Card

Hi peeps!  I am starting off the new year with another Christmas card...I know, you're probably sick of them, but I start right away for this year's Christmas!  And I promise, I'll have some different holidays featured real soon!  Anyway, the Jingle Belles' challenge this week is "No Time Like the Presents".....feature a present or gift wrap on your card!  I had been eyeing this paper for a card while I was wrapping gifts, so I snagged a little piece and went to work....easiest card ever!

The paper itself is almost like a kraft paper, so the printed design is not crisp, but soft and hazy.  I just cut out a piece, mounted it on a black mat and a Sahara Sand card that is a little smaller than 4 1/4" square.  I stamped a sentiment from Stitched with Cheer and added a layer of  snowy glitter, and it was done!

I did do a little more stamping on the inside, using Endless Wishes and Stitched with Cheer, watercoloring the banner a bit with Dapper Denim ink:

Cassidy got a spy kit for Christmas....one of two things she actually asked for.  I wonder on whom she is going to spy????!!!

Thanks for popping in today!
