Well I am just in shock. I simply cannot believe that the felonious relationship between Alaska Senator Lesil "good time" McGuire and Tom "I can be bought for only $24,000" Anderson is coming to an end. Yet apparently that is the case since they filed for divorce last Thursday.First the rumors of "Brangelina" breaking up and now this.
I am just heartbroken.
I thought these two kids really had a shot at going all of the way. (Well yes I know they "went all of the way" at least once. That is probably why they secretly got married in the summer of 2005, before their baby was born on March 2006.)
We knew it was going to be a special relationship from the very first police report out of Juneau during one of their adorable little lovers quarrel/fistfights, way back in March of 2004.
State Representatives Lesil McGuire and Tom Anderson have issued a joint statement in response to reports of a 9-1-1 call. Juneau police are saying little about the incident, only that they got a domestic disturbance call and that they are still investigating. In their statement, McGuire and Anderson say it's unfortunate that a personal disagreement between them is being reported publicly. They say they are best friends and colleagues and that any misunderstanding between them has been resolved.McGuire and Anderson, both Republicans from Anchorage, serve together on the House Judiciary Committee.
And they had SO MUCH in common. Tom Anderson was a corrupt Republican legislator who was sentenced to five years for bribery. And, according to Ray Metcalfe, Lesil may have indulged in some unsavory practices of her own. So you see they just share so many interests, like Alaska, politics, unprotected sex, bribery, how could their love not last?
We know they had passion based on their early relationship (911 calls), and Lesil for one still seems to be quite a hot blooded little spitfire. In fact once during 2008 Lesil became so frustrated (intoxicated) that her flight was delayed that she stormed (was dragged) off of the plane (by authorities).
And there is no doubt she adored her larcenous little ex-legislator. She was even willing to threaten the wife of a potential witness against him. Now THAT kids is true love!
Yet I guess it must be very difficult for a fiery politician like Lesil to wait patiently while her man is busy keeping his ass facing the wall down in Oregon. And there is just no telling what new and complicated relationships he may be forming down there!
So I guess, as much as it pains us, we must accept that Lesil is a relatively young, (semi)attractive woman with needs of her own.
Hey Lesil, do you know what might take your mind off of this stressful episode? A visit to Fairbanks very own Pikes Riverfront Lodge! I see the commercials on television all of the time and it looks like a very relaxing place to stay.
In fact you might even know the proprietor, Jay Ramras. He is a House Representative from Fairbanks.
Oh wait you guys DO know each other! Well there you go then.
I am sure that Jay would gladly put you up in one of his room at no charge. He might even let you touch his cookies. I am sorry, I meant HAVE one of his cookies.
You could stay in one of Jay's spacious Double Queen rooms. And Jay could come up and talk politics with you before tucking you in for the night. I understand that Mr. Ramras is a VERY attentive host.
Well anyhow I hope things work ouy for our fiery Senator from District N. I know I will be keeping a watchful eye.
