Sarah Palin finally posts pictures of Todd in the hospital recovering from his accident.

Courtesy of Palin's only remaining media outlet Facebook:

So grateful for your prayers and support during Todd's recovery! He's in a good place - on the couch - insisting if there's any good season for injury, it's now.

"March Madness is a great distraction," Todd reports. "And catching up on 'Deadliest Catch' and 'Bering Sea Gold' episodes is some awesome motivational therapy. I can't wait to get on Bristol Bay waters and pick fish with the family!"

In our 35 years, I've never seen the guy have to literally hold still, sit down, and take a (winced) breath. And I've never seen Todd so touched by the kindness shown during difficult days.

"It's overwhelming and I'm not worthy of these well-wishes," he said. "I wish I could repay people for caring. Makes me want to do more for others, especially when they're down and out. Maybe that's part of the purpose in all this."

It IS overwhelming, friends' goodness permeating the situation. Todd is always, always doing what he can for others, and rooting for anyone going through life's trials. It's amazing to realize his character is recognized outside of our four walls. He's got a great heart... to go along with two inflated lungs now, metal holding bones together, and stitched up epidermis that makes him appreciate good health more than ever.

"I can't thank you guys enough," Todd said. "The past few weeks showed us it's not just family circling the wagons; I don't think we'd ever realized that before. People out there who are hurting a hundred times worse than I was can use our prayers and any kind gesture. Maybe I can only repay by offering the same to you."

Well we asked for pictures, and now there are pictures.

Of course I notice that we still have no pictures of the snowmachine.

Another Todd Palin update courtesy of his incredibly unsympathetic "wife's" Facebook page.

Not to be a conspiracy theorist but they could literally be vising anybody in the hospital.
Courtesy of Nurse Ratched's Facebook page:

Thank you for lifting Todd up in prayer. He's still in ICU under care of a superbly skilled staff. A long surgery repaired numerous breaks in Todd's upper body, docs essentially lifted and secured every rib with steel bands, anchored the broken clavicle with plates and rods, set aside repair of a broken shoulder for later (also later are more minor things like ACL/MCL knee injuries), still mechanically inflating one collapsed lung while other bruised lung, liver, etc., are watched; chest drain is working overtime to keep things clear. (Damn, Todd was really injured badly. It's a good thing his wife was able to make it to his bedside.....you know, eventually.)

Requiring a bit more than our usual fix-all up here - Duct tape - some gnarly incisions to enter his innards will be reminders of how life can change in the blink of an eye. (And skating through TSA detectors with bionic parts will now be anything but the blink of an eye!)

(Mocking Todd for his injures, always a supportive and nurturing thing to do. Can't you just feel the love?)

So thankful for today's medical technology including 3-D X-rays, temporary pain blocks and epidurals. (Medical science, always so much more effective than prayer.) I'm voting for their continued use until a resting position is found that allows minimal wincing with each breath. (That's a hint that she expects you to share your pain meds with her Todd.)

We say Mat-Su Regional Hospital is the best place to start life - all our babies are Mat-Su born - and these ER and ICU days show our local medical experts are most outstanding at continuing life, too... by the grace of God. (And they are great at keeping secrets too, aren't they Sarah?)

It's all good though, and I hope whatever challenges you face today - physical, emotional, financial - you'll have confidence in the care around you, and you'll apply Todd's consistent advice: "Don't sweat the small stuff."  (Small stuff?)

Your care for Todd is more appreciated than I can express. Thank you. And thank you to the still-mysterious snowmachiner(s) who came upon the wreck and provided critical help that night. I hope to meet you soon!

- Sarah — at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

Wait! She hasn't met the "bystander" who found her husband broken and bleeding in the woods?

How is that possible?

Now there is a guy who has a story to tell that I imagine is worth a pretty penny.

Okay so here we are coming up on a week since the accident and we STILL have not seen a picture of a damaged showmachine or for that matter a damaged Todd Palin.

Seeing Willow and Piper on a hospital bed does nothing to convince people used to the lies coming from the Palin family of the severity of Todd's injuries.

I'm not saying that he is not hurt, but you know what they say on the internet, "pictures or it never happened."

Another Todd Palin update.

There has not been any real news coming from the Palin camp since Sarah's Facebook update the day before yesterday.

However People magazine has reported that Todd's injuries "were so extensive" that he required six hours of surgery, which only makes his wife's sloth-like return to Alaska all the more disgusting.

As well as her cavalier approach to his injuries in her Facebook post:

Knowing Todd, once he's cognizant, he'll probably ask docs to duct tape him up and he'll call it good. He's tough.

Yeah you know I'm pretty tough as well, but I would hope that if I suffered multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung that my family would express real concern for my recovery, and you perhaps delay any grifting until I was fully recovered.

Speaking of grifting SarahPAC has not missed a beat either, and this recent e-mail was sent out to their mailing list the day after Todd was found by a "bystander" broken and bleeding in the woods:

Hello Friend,

I hope that you have been well. We are emailing you today because we are worried about the 2016 election.

The national Democratic Party has taken advantage of Republicans being so focused on the Presidential race that they are now investing millions of dollars into smaller Congressional and Senate races. We at SarahPAC are afraid that once we have a presidential nominee, liberals will have already outworked us on the ground to elect radical progressives to congress.

That’s why we are announcing a fundraising push for our Conservative Congressional Fund. FIRSTNAME, you are on of our top supporters. Which is why I am asking you to become a Founding Member of the fund.

All it takes become a Founding Member of the Fund, and help bold and principled conservatives is a donation of $25 or more.

Each donation is spent to elect conservatives with a backbone. Do you remember when Sarah Palin endorsed Ted Cruz or Ben Sasse for Senate? At the time, these two men were behind in the polls and very few people knew who they were.

Sarah’s endorsement and SarahPAC have a proven record of making a difference and electing hardcore conservatives.

Please become a Founding member of the Conservative Congressional Fund today. Let’s make history and elect 10, 15 or even 20 bold conservatives across the country.

You can donate $25, $52, $100 or $250 or even more by clicking here.

Thank you, Friend.

SarahPAC

You will notice that they were in such a hurry to send this out that they did not even take the time to replace "FIRSTNAME" with the person;s actual first name.

You know I sometimes think that I can never be more disgusted with this family than I already am, but then that proves to be untrue.

Comedian D.L. Hughley has some advice for Sarah Palin that I really think she should take to heart.

You know assuming she has a heart.

Sarah Palin provides an update on husband Todd's condition.

Courtesy of Palin's Facebook page:

Todd Palin is in intensive care at an Alaskan hospital with injuries including multiple broken and fractured ribs, broken shoulder blade, broken clavicle, knee/leg injuries; and a collapsed lung. He is presently back in surgery to repair multiple fractures. Thank you for your prayers for a speedy recovery. We, as his wife and children, appreciate your respect for our privacy during this time. Knowing Todd, once he's cognizant, he'll probably ask docs to duct tape him up and he'll call it good. He's tough.

So when this was written Todd was "back in surgery?"

I guess that means that he already underwent surgery while his wife lazily made her way back to Alaska.

According to the news Todd was injured Sunday night, yet Palin did not "suddenly" quit pimping for Trump until just before 12:00 PM Florida time, only to later show up later and give a somewhat unhinged speech for him before actually leaving to fly up here to see to her husband.

Such a dutiful wife don't you think?

Now I have been thinking about these injuries of Todd's and I have to say that I am a little baffled.

Whatever your opinion of Todd Palin might be, I think we can all agree that he has spent a great deal of time on snowmachines and clearly knows how to ride safely.

And yet here he is in the hospital receiving multiple surgeries, not as the result of injuries sustained while engaged in a high speed Iron Dog race, but while out making what appears to be a beer run to Cubby's Marketplace. A trip I am confident that he has made numerous times in the past.

So how does one damn near kill themselves while taking a leisurely drive to the store, when there are no other vehicles involved in the accident?

Things that make you go "Hmm."

But don't you fret. After all it's not serious enough that his daughter Bristol is distracted from her grifting.

bsmp2Always on the run, but I never leave the house without my #310shake! I've got to keep lean and energized! @310nutrition #fitmom #yum 🙋🏻🤓🗻

Why anybody would let this family within 100 yards of them is beyond me.

Monday, March 14, 2016

Clearly Todd Palin's hospitalization is not nearly serious enough to drag his wife out of the spotlight.

Here are some of her remarks from that appearance in Florida this morning:

“Yeah, good to be here. Thawed out and little Alaskas. Literally… thawed out. Just before I got on a flight to get out here, he’s out ice fishing on our frozen lake and my husband’s out snow machinin’ and thank you guys for your prayers for my husband who is recovering right now in ICU after a little wreck on a snow machine. So thank you. Big wreck. Thank you. But, you know, when real life happens, right? When somebody is sick in your family, there’s an accident that happens, all these challenges, these struggles in your business, in your family, with your finances, tryin’ to get your kids to be able to afford to go to college, all these real life issues that happen, it really puts things into perspective, doesn’t it? And doesn’t it make you so appreciate your time – time is our most valuable resource. It makes me appreciate the time that we that have to spend in doing something so worthy. And that’s to get Donald J. Trump elected president. And what we don’t have time for is all that petty punk-ass little thuggery stuff that’s been going on with those quote-unquote protesters who are doing nothing but wasting your time and trying to take away your first amendment rights, your rights to assemble peacefully. And the media being on the thugs’ side — what the heck are you guys thinking, media? It doesn’t make sense! Well, you all get it. I think the media and too many other candidates are underestimating the wisdom of the people. You all are smart, you're energized, you're optimistic, you're positive and that’s why you’re here today and I thank you for spending your time here today, Because it is time, we have all recognized the majority of Americans have recognized Republicans, Independents, good old blue dog Reagan Democrats out there — we have all recognized, we need a revolution. It is time to get rid of the status quo. The status quo has to go, right? We have needed a revolution, and we found our revolutionary. Donald Trump is that revolutionary!

This so reminds me of her speech pattern when she resigned in 2009. The breathlessness, the anger, the high pitched voice, the crazed slogans tossed in willy-nilly. This is how Palin acts when she is angered or stressed.

According to local reports the accident happened at around 8:00 PM last night:

Medics received a page around 8 p.m. last night and and found a seriously injured snowmachiner. He was at a residence on Talkeetna Spur Road, according to borough spokeswoman Patty Sullivan. She was not sure exactly where the snowmachine crash took place.

Medics transported the injured snowmachiner to Mat-Su hospital by ambulance.

That would have literally been right after Bristol posted this:

A photo posted by Bristol Palin (@bsmp2) on
My sources say that Tripp is fine so don't worry about him.

I guess perhaps Palin did not feel that it was necessary to rush back home because Todd's injuries are really not that bad. (Even though he has broken ribs and is scheduled for surgery.)

And obviously the injuries were not bad enough to keep Donald Trump from joking about them.

Still these are the Palins so they are going to have to milk if for everything that they can.

Courtesy of Palin's Facebook page:

Todd is our rock... toughest guy I know. Thank you for your prayers as he recovers following a snowmachine accident last night. You know, your prayers have meant so much to our family over the years and I've not thanked you enough for providing us that shield of faith. God bless you, too!

As any adventurous Alaskan knows, while you may be down, you're never out. I remember Chris Kyle summed up Todd best - "He's Rambo. Straight up Rambo!" On the cross country flights taking me back home now, I'm thinking of all of you, and sincerely appreciating your support.

It was an honor to be with so many patriotic Floridians the past two days; you remind me that when "life happens" and we face challenges as individuals and a nation, it's the strength in unity and a strong faith that let us overcome. Stay strong! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Love,

The Palins

Yeah, he's Rambo. Sure.

A lot of you have been asking if Todd had been drinking, obviously we do not have any information on that one way or the other yet.

However from past reporting by Joe McGinniss, and according to my own sources, I can tell you that those cabins are where the Palins go to let their hair down, and in the past there has been significant drinking and drug use on the premises.

I would hope that since Trig, Tripp, and Sailor were in attendance that such was not the case this time, but remember these ARE the Palins.

Sarah Palin is now pimping some extreme snowmachine film that looks like it was made by teenagers hopped up on a combination of Red Bull and Meth.

WINTER PROJECT - TRAILER 1 from HYBRID COLOR FILMS on Vimeo.

This is how Snowdrift Snooki describes this adrenalin junkie porn:

Check out the trailer for this great new documentary about one of the extreme sports that guys – and gals – enjoy in the Last Frontier where we know how to live life vibrantly outdoors, literally in our backyard. Bristol’s boyfriend Joey stars in this, and Willow has a cameo.

I have to say that there is a real chasm in Alaska between other outdoor sports enthusiasts and snowmachiners.

Cross country skiers in particular have had a lot of conflicts with people ruining the trails with their machines, and dog sledding aficionados have had similar frustrations.

In effect everybody up here recognizes the value of snowmachines for getting around the state, and they are certainly fun to ride, however there is a disconnect for a lot of Alaskans between those who use them for transportation, and those who use them to show off for their friends.

I am not at all surprised that Palin would be supporting a "sport" that is attractive to younger people who get a thrill out of risk taking, and who often rely on their parents to cover their medical costs and sled repair bills.

By the way I watched this thing a couple of times and I had no problem recognizing Junker, but I did not see Willow anywhere.

I also took a look at the Facebook comments under this post and many of Palin's fans are trying to be supportive but a little confused as to why she is wasting her time promoting something like this.

Here was my favorite:

Sarah Palin, for President 2016 . Run for president in 2016 , we ask you every day to run for president. Please hear us. Run for president in 2016 or the media and the corrupt establishment wins. You have my vote. Please Sarah Palin. We love and support so much. God bless you and your family.

Yeah, not gonna happen.

Guess who is going to race the Iron Dog next year?

Oh you are going to love this.

So a couple of weeks ago I heard this rumor that Levi was thinking about taking a run at the Iron Dog. (This was before this last race took place.)

I thought at the time, well THAT would be a real kick in the ass, and it would certainly aggravate the crap out of a certain Wasilla/Scottsdale family that we all know.

However one rumor does not a story make, so I did not bother to post anything about it just in case it was BS.

Well now I know that it is absolutely NOT BS. Levi has been talking to a number of people in Wasilla about the plan and even has some potential sponsors and investors lined up.

Now here is where it gets really entertaining.

Apparently after this last disastrous Iron Dog run (They were the first team to scratch and did so only hours into the race.) Todd has been telling just about anyone who will listen that he is retiring and leaving the race to the younger guys.

THAT was until he got wind of Levi's plans. Apparently once he heard that, he had a change of heart and now is telling people that he has at least one more good race in him.

Yeah, okay.

I have to wonder if it is Todd's idea to stay in the race to defend the family honor against their arch nemesis, or if it he is simply doing what the lady who pays the bills tells him to do.

In my opinion there is no real win for Todd in this.

I doubt he has what it takes to win this race anymore, so if he does manage to come in before Levi, who would be novice, then a three time champion managed to beat a rookie, and you just know somebody is going to want to ask him questions about Levi.

However if Levi beats Todd, and trust me there will be MUCH more scrutiny by the press if he competes, then he gets to talk about what the Palins have done to his family and essentially becomes a media darling. Actually that is a conversation he gets to have regardless of where he places.

Essentially the soon to be 24 year old would be David to the Palin family Goliath.

I like it.

I am pretty sure that the Wasilla kitchen appliances are safe for now, but I am willing to bet that right now in Arizona there is a poor dented refrigerator cowering in fear.

2011 is just not a good year to be a Palin as Tyler Huntington and Chris Olds win this year's Iron Dog.

From KTUU:

As she does more often than not, Mother Nature dictated the terms of the 2011 Iron Dog snow machine race. But the team of Tyler Huntington and Chris Olds came prepared and won the trophy this year.

A tight race between team 10, Huntington/Olds and team 11, Todd Palin and Eric Quam ensued, with the lead changing hands several times down the icy river on a picture-perfect day.

Look sometimes every thing is coming up roses for the Palins and other times everything they touch turns to dogshit.  Iron dog shit.

I do have to wonder if Todd would put out that extra bit of effort to win if only his wife could have sucked it up and forced herself to provide some physical contact to show her support at the beginning of the race.

You know maybe he just wasn't in that big of a hurry to finish the race and get home to that refrigerator denting shrew he lives with? Just a thought.

Snowdrift Snooki makes an appearance for the cameras at the beginning of the 2011 Iron Dog. Can't you just FEEL the love?

Rumor has it that for some inexplicable reason the temperature right around the Palins was almost twenty degrees cooler than anywhere else in the vicinity.

Gee I wonder why?

Sarah Palin's much anticipated Twitter response to her husband's sex scandal.

After an entire day of waiting for Sister Sarah to finally respond to the embarrassing allegations that her husband has been dipping his Wasilla wick into the honeypot of a woman convicted of "maintaining a place of prostitution."

This is what Sarah Palin tweeted seven hours ago.

Here is a better look at the photo in case you think there might be a clue in there as to what in the hell this is supposed to represent.

Uh.....Well clearly she is.....uh.....perhaps she felt that.....uh....oh hell I have no idea!

However you would think she would have said SOMETHING by now.

And on that topic the New York Daily News made an interesting observation:

The Palins, who have previously been dogged by cheating allegations in 2008 and 2009 and have vehemently denied each and every accusation, though they have not commented on the Enquirer story.

Well THAT is a very salient point.  The Palins have NOT responded, and usually you cannot shut them up!

Unless of course that last tweet was some kind of visual haiku that we simply have not deciphered yet.  What do you think?

P.S. If you check you will notice that Sarah has removed this last tweet.  Perhaps SHE did not know what she was trying to say either.

Chris Kelly, writer for Real Time with Bill Maher, has some interesting questions about Sarah Palin, Todd Palin, and the Iron Dog snowmachine race.

While you read this, Alaska's First Dude, Todd Palin, is riding a snowmobile -- I'm sorry, snowmachine -- 1971 miles from Big Lake to Fairbanks. In the course of performing this awesome feat, his Arctic Cat's powerful two-stroke engine will emit the same amount of hydrocarbons as an automobile driving from Chicago to San Francisco and back 150 times.

That may upset tree huggers in the lower forty eight but to Alaskans this does not seem excessive. Time to bring in the humor.

Seems like a lot of work, just to get away from Sarah Palin.

Okay now he has my attention.

But Todd's not just doing it because he hates his home life and likes things that make loud noises and emit benzene. He does it because it's there. And for hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash and gifts from corporations who do business with the Governor's office.

For riding a snowmobile.

Something you could train a bear to do.

Ouch! I think it would be fair to say that Chris Kelly is no fan of Todd and Sarah Palin, nor snowmachine racing. But besides the snark Kelly also points out something that I had never thought of before.

The total purse value of this year's Iron Dog™ is $159,050. The sponsors include the petroleum giants Tesoro and Conoco-Phillips; State Farm, Wells Fargo, Frontier Airlines, Alaska Airlines and the Alaska First National Bank.

The Iron Dog™ has fewer than 40 entrants a year, and one of them is always Todd.
Does this smell? I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I hate the cold and I think motor sports is an oxymoron. But he is Alaska's First Lady, and Tesoro is an oil company.

Let's say this was Louisiana in the '30s. If Texaco sponsored a pancake-eating contest, and Huey Long's wife kept winning it, there would have been talk.

And, to be fair, Todd doesn't always walk away from the camping trip with the hundred grand first prize. He's only won four times.

Once after Sarah was elected to the Wasilla City Council, once after she was elected mayor, the year she was appointed to the Alaska Oil and Gas Commission, and the year she was elected governor.

Well isn't that an interesting set of coincidences. You know I don't want to make too much out of this, but at the very least it does give off a faint odor. Oh and we have smelled this odor before haven't we?
