Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) said over the weekend that the next president of the United States needed to be prepared to take aggressive military action on their very first day in office, including against Iran.
The presidential contender, who had promised to "terminate" the nuclear agreement with Iran upon his inauguration, made the remark while speaking with reporters at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday.
"I believe that a president shouldn't wait to act until they put a cabinet together or an extended period of time, I believe they should be prepared to act on the very first day they take office," he said. "It's very possible, God forbid that this would happen, but very possible, that the next president could be called to take aggressive actions, including military actions, on their very first day in office."
Okay can we all agree that no matter what we NEVER let this mofo near the White House?
While the Republican senator will make his official announcement June 1 in his hometown of Central, South Carolina, he made his intentions clear during an interview on “CBS This Morning” Monday.
“I am running because I think the world is falling apart,” Graham said.
He becomes the seventh major candidate to jump into the race for the GOP nomination. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, ex-Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson have already launched their respective campaigns.
Oh man this circus just gets more interesting every day.
And how in the hell will Miss Scarlett of "Bomb the Crap out of Everybody" farm going to fix the world anyhow?
Asked about stumbling from fellow Republicans Sen. Marco Rubio and former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida on Iraq, Graham said that knowing what we know now his answer of going into Iraq would be, “probably not, but that’s yesterday’s thinking.” Graham, however, added that “I’m afraid that more American soldiers will die in Iraq, eventually in Syria, to protect our homeland.”
This guy thinks that every problem is a nail and that the US Military is the hammer that needs to drive it into oblivion.
He's the kind of asshole who thinks that a burning building needs more gasoline in order to bring it under control.
In short he may be the absolute WORST candidate for President that the Republican party has to offer.
And that is a list which includes Ted Cruz and Mike Huckabee so you KNOW this idiot is really dangerous.
...This 2013 photograph of John McCain is being circulated by members of ISIS as a photo of him with members of some of their members in Syria... The poster does not specify which of the men is actually from ISIS or “Al Qaeda In Iraq” as they were once called. (Source.)
So this was John McCain in 2013, and what is his response to his Iraq buddies now?
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) ratcheted up the pressure on the Obama administration Thursday over the growing crisis in Iraq, calling for air strikes and special forces on the ground to arrest the advance of Sunni insurgents.
So rude to pose for a selfie and then try to launch an air attack against people don't you think?
Palin clearly did not listen the President's speech (Which you can hear for yourself right here), and simply looked for the parts that she, and RAM, felt were weaknesses in his argument. (By the way listening to SARAH PALIN say that the President "did not articulate what our purpose was" is almost surreal. This is a woman whose communication skills have been labeled "word salad" now telling the world that one of the greatest orators in the history of this country was "not articulate." Irony does not eve BEGIN to cover that.)
Palin's warmongering is out of control here and she seems to have no limit to her thirst for Middle Eastern blood. (It kind of gives you a hint as to how Jeremy Morlock came by his lack of compassion for those he refers to as "ragheads" or "Haji" doesn't it?)
She clearly has no qualms with continuing the regime change philosophy embraced by George W. Bush, and seems almost sexually excited with the idea of taking Gaddafi out.
At some point during this interview it dawned me that Palin seemed very prepared for the questions Greta was posing to her. Almost like they were scripted.
In the past I have been a little hesitant to believe that is the case, but then something happens at the 5:05 point that sort of makes it obvious. If you notice Palin momentary looks stunned and then looks down at some notes in front of her to help her answer the questions.
This clearly demonstrates that she was using a teleprompter, which must have malfunctioned. She then looks at notes on the desk in front of her which MUST have been written with the full knowledge of what Greta was going to ask. Amazingly this means that as stupid as Palin sounds in this interview, she is actually using a script to help her to appear smarter!
Without this kind of help Palin would undoubtedly make an even bigger ass out of herself than she did in this interview. Which means I guess we can blame a Mansour typo for Palin's use of the word "squirmish" at the 7:13 mark. (By the way "squirmish" is how I feel every time I have to listen to Snowdrift Snooki speak.)
At the 8:03 mark Palin suddenly brightens as if she saw a Democrat get hit by a car, because she then gets to talk about Obama's reference to the North Star. As many of you probably already know Palin uses the North Star to identify herself, and references it constantly in her speeches.
I knew the second I heard it that Palin would automatically glom onto it for later use.
"I mention the North Star so often, the North Star is part of the Alaska flag where we..up here..are able to use as our GPS, as kind of..our..our plumb line. The great North Star with its abiding light o'er land and sea a beacon bright."
In case you "out of staters" did not catch the reference, Caribou Barbie was trying to quote directly from the Alaska State song to make her point. Sadly she is just as ignorant of the lyrics to our anthem as she is on how to conduct foreign relations in the world.
President Bush has admitted to The Times that his gun-slinging rhetoric made the world believe that he was a “guy really anxious for war” in Iraq. He said that his aim now was to leave his successor a legacy of international diplomacy for tackling Iran.
In an exclusive interview, he expressed regret at the bitter divisions over the war and said that he was troubled about how his country had been misunderstood. “I think that in retrospect I could have used a different tone, a different rhetoric.”
Phrases such as “bring them on” or “dead or alive”, he said, “indicated to people that I was, you know, not a man of peace”. He said that he found it very painful “to put youngsters in harm’s way”. He added: “I try to meet with as many of the families as I can. And I have an obligation to comfort and console as best as I possibly can. I also have an obligation to make sure that those lives were not lost in vain.”
Bullshit! I certainly hope that NOBODY buys any of this revisionist garbage.
George Bush DID want to go to war even before he took office as detailed by his very own biographer: Two years before the September 11 attacks, presidential candidate George W. Bush was already talking privately about the political benefits of attacking Iraq, according to his former ghost writer, who held many conversations with then-Texas Governor Bush in preparation for a planned autobiography.
“He was thinking about invading Iraq in 1999,” said author and journalist Mickey Herskowitz. “It was on his mind. He said to me: ‘One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as a commander-in-chief.’ And he said, ‘My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it.’ He said, ‘If I have a chance to invade….if I had that much capital, I’m not going to waste it. I’m going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I’m going to have a successful presidency.”
And this is echoed by Bush's former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill who said: “From the very beginning, there was a conviction, that Saddam Hussein was a bad person and that he needed to go,” says O’Neill, who adds that going after Saddam was topic "A" 10 days after the inauguration - eight months before Sept. 11.
“From the very first instance, it was about Iraq. It was about what we can do to change this regime,” says Suskind. “Day one, these things were laid and sealed.”
And this accusation was further supported by the Senate Intelligence Report part two: West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller, the committee's chair, said it plain: "It is my belief that the Bush Administration was fixated on Iraq, and used the 9/11 attacks by al-Qaeda as justification for overthrowing Sadaam Hussein. To accomplish this, top Administration officials made repeated statements that falsely linked Iraq and al-Qaeda as a single threat."
So don't give us this bullshit story about not wanting to go to war. George W. Bush was a pathetic little mama's boy who desperately wanted to appear powerful and important to his parents and decided that after stealing the 2000 election to make the most of his chance.
We will not forget what he did to our country nor forgive the thousands of deaths that resulted in his pathetic attempt to attain manhood by allowing real men, and real women, to go to battle for a complete fabrication.
