So since yesterday's post we have learned a few more details.
First off is that we now have an actual copy of the official complaint.
When you read it, especially Track's testimony, it appears that Todd and Sarah had ample time to notify the police BEFORE Track arrived to kick Todd's ass, but failed to do so until things got really out of hand.
There were no children in the home so everybody can stop worrying about them.
However after the badly beaten Todd was able to get away from Track he apparently abandoned his wife and jumped in his car.
She was also able to get out on her own it seems and was in a second vehicle exiting the compound when the police arrived.
Track was still inside screaming at nobody and high as a freaking kite.
The complaint also says that after pointing his gun at Track that Todd "decided" that he was not going to shoot his son as he broke in through the window.
Personally I doubt that Todd ever intended to actually use the gun, but he did indeed point it at Track and threaten him with it.
That is some good parenting right there.
According to Court View Britta Hanson, his first baby mama, also petitioned for a protective order, which she quickly received.
Now I assumed that this was a preemptive move on her part, after hearing about this incident at the compund, but Zaki told me that he believes she could not have received one of these unless there was an actual physical threat made against her, which indicates that more may have happened that night than we know right now.
All in all it is beyond obvious that Track's addictions continue to control his life.
According to various sources I have talked to in the past Track has been abusing and selling drugs for more than a decade now, and in fact that may be how he is currently paying his bills.
Sarah had a real opportunity to help this young man, and instead she attempted to "save" him from himself and now this is the result.
It appears that Track remains in custody, and is still not represented by counsel which I think indicates that Ma and Pa Palin are finished covering for his loser ass and that he is now truly on his own.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Alex Jones and Roger Stone know why Donald Trump is acting like an Alzheimer patient, he is being drugged by the "deep state."
Courtesy of Raw Story:
The 71-year-old Trump has a family history of Alzheimer’s disease, and analyses have found he showed some symptoms of age-related cognitive impairment — including observations that he shows symptoms of late-day confusion known as “sundowning.”
“I’ve talked to people, multiple ones, and they believe that they are putting a slow sedative that they’re building up that’s also addictive in his Diet Cokes and in his iced tea, and that the president by 6 or 7 at night is basically slurring his words and is drugged,” Jones said. “Now first they had to isolate him to do that. But, yes, ladies and gentleman, I’ve talked to people that talk to the president now at 9 at night, he is slurring his words, and I’m going to leave it at that. I’ve talked to folks that have talked to him directly.”
Jones compared Trump’s behavior to former President Ronald Reagan, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease that likely started during his time in the White House.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I was told this by high level sources and it was evident and especially after [Ronald] Reagan was shot in his first year in office when he was acting like Trump, and doing the right things, that he never really recovered,” Jones said. “They gave him cold blood, and his transfusion that causes brain damage. They slowly gave him small amounts of sedatives. It’s known that most presidents end up getting drugged. Small dosages of sedatives till they build it up, Trump’s such a bull he hasn’t fully understood it yet.”
Jones goes onto suggest that Trump needed to be seen by an "outside physician," which I agree with, and that he is putting his own life in danger by bringing this up.
Because you know paranoid people are always about to be killed by somebody.
However Jones was not alone with this conspiracy, he also had ex-Trump adviser Roger Stone on to confirm his lunacy.
Courtesy of Crooks and Liars:
After Jones made the claim that Trump is slurring his words by 5 or 6 in the evening, Stone and Jones reassured one another that Donald Trump is a fine, healthy strapping specimen of a man who could not possibly slur his words without help from someone else.
Leaning in to Jones, Stone shared his gossip. "But I have now heard not from one, but two different sources, that he seemed disoriented and was slurring his speech in conversations."
Whoa, if true. I would tend to believe that is actually true and that Trump is sundowning. But rather than consider a cause that might be perfectly natural and also disturbing, Stone has a different explanation.
"To me this is a tip off that he may be being medicated," he continued. "Is General [John] Kelly above this? No."
Well it certainly appears that SOMEBODY might be on drugs.
Actually the evidence that Donald Trump might have some mental health deficiencies was obvious even before he announced his candidacy.
As for the fact that he slurs his words and gets confused later in the evening, that could simply be the result of being 71 years old and doing a job that he is far too unhealthy to tackle, or it could be that he really is suffering from Dementia or the onset of Alzheimers.
By the way there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Trump has difficulty organizing his thoughts much earlier than 5 or 6 in the evening.
But leave it to these two sad faced clowns to create some batshit crazy conspiracy to explain the simple fact that their idol is unfit to lead this country.

Ohio State conceal carry advocate shot dead. I'm just going to give up trying to fix my irony meter.
Courtesy of Slate:
An Ohio State concealed carry activist was shot to death at his residence near campus early Thursday, authorities say. Tarak Underiner, 20, was an Ohio State undergraduate and the treasurer of a group called Buckeyes for Concealed Carry. He testified in favor of a "campus carry" bill at a state legislative hearing on Dec. 1, 2016.
A local TV station is reporting that police found "illegal drugs and weapons" at Underiner's residence and that his death may be drug-related.
This is your brain on drugs.
This is your brain on drugs splattered all over the wall, because somebody was carrying a concealed weapon.
Any questions?

Somebody is finally reporting that Track Palin has a serious alcohol problem. Well that's a start.
Courtesy of Radar Online:
Sarah Palin’s son is heading into treatment instead of jail after his January domestic violence arrest — and his own lawyer told RadarOnline.com he needs help for his alcohol problem!
Track “has been assessed” by the VA, his attorney, Kevin T. Fitzgerald told Radar, and at a hearing later this month, he will receive his proposed treatment plan.
“I would expect it has some alcohol component,” Fitzgerald said. “In all candor, Track could be well-served by treatment.”
That is a fairly significant admission since up until now Sarah Palin has refused to admit that Track has a substance abuse problem, instead blaming his most recent difficulties on PTSD and oddly enough President Obama.
Fitzgerald had more to say:
Getting the domestic violence assault charge dropped was “not an insignificant dismissal,” he said, insisting that the possession of a weapon while intoxicated charge “really more accurately tracks what went down” when Track was accused of drunkenly attacking his girlfriend in January.
Still, Fitzgerald said they weren’t altogether pleased with the final charge that stuck. “I believe it’s got constitutional infirmities because it precludes people form possessing firearms, even unloaded firearms, in their own homes if they’re under the influence,” he insisted. “We weren’t going to make a big constitutional issue of it, but that’s what the situation was.”
(Yeah, after all what is a Palin without their guns? Besides you know a drunken asshole who abuses women?)
Now, Track, 27, will enter a therapeutic program through the VA, which could last “several months,” the Anchorage DA, Clinton Champion, told Radar.
Said Fitzgerald, “If he completes the treatment, the last charge too will be dismissed. If he doesn’t then he’s looking at 180 days … with two years of informal probation.”
I will argue that the chances of Track finishing this treatment program successfully are slim.
Because while they seem willing to admit that Track has a drinking problem from what I have heard from just about everybody is that alcoholism is only the tip of the drug addicted iceberg.
And Track has been abusing these substances since he was in high school, so the idea that he can suddenly break the addiction cycle is a high bar to set in my opinion.
I mean do not get me wrong, I really do hope that he is successful because he has two small children to care for, but working on all of this while living with his ever ready to enable, excuse making parents, seems like a recipe for disaster.

Sarah Palin just crapped all over Ronald Reagan's legacy.
Courtesy of Gawker:
Last night, the National Geographic Channel kicked off its six-episode series Generation X, an uncommonly sharp talking-head recap show that explores various cultural events and phenomena that helped shape the generation after the Baby Boomers. The War on Drugs, specifically how it targeted crack in the ‘80s and was made tangible in the “Just Say No” campaign, was among the topics on last night’s premiere. The segment featured commentary from Senator Cory Booker, journalist Alison Stewart, and none other than Sarah Palin, who pointed out the impracticality of the campaign spearheaded by Nancy Reagan:
My, how easy it would be to sit your child down and say, “Just say no.” It’s not that easy. Great intentions, though!
Now a couple of things here.
First off Palin just disagreed with a policy of the Reagan Administration, and in GOP circles that is tantamount to egging the Vatican.
Actually I take that back, it's worse.
Secondly isn't sitting her children down and teaching them to just say "no" EXACTLY how Palin taught her kids about sex education?
And by the way that "Just Say No" program worked out about as well as Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" program.
So at this point we have to start asking ourselves, "Is Sarah Palin really a Republican anymore?"
After all she is backing the guy who is not only attacking the RNC, but also attacking George W. Bush, and threatening to run as a third party candidate.
And now she has the temerity to actually second guess the legacy of the great god of the GOP, Ronald Reagan.
Yep, things are about to get even uglier.
Popcorn anyone?

Woman uses meth and then rides a motorized cart through Wal-Mart eating chicken and drinking wine. Do I even have to tell you it happened in Florida?
Courtesy of WFLA:
A woman ate sushi, cinnamon rolls and the majority of a rotisserie chicken, drinking wine while driving a motorized shopping cart at a Walmart, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested for shoplifting and other charges.
It happened at the Lecanto Walmart Tuesday. Citrus deputies responded after the store loss prevention employee contacted them about an alleged shoplifter he had in custody. The employee told deputies that he had noticed the woman acting suspiciously driving the motorized shopping card.
He could see a half-empty bottle of wine in her cart. He also said he watched her grab a box of sushi from the shelf, eat a piece and put the box back. She did the same with cinnamon rolls and mini muffins. He saw her eat the majority of a rotisserie chicken while on the shopping floor.
Overall the woman, aged 20, manged to consume $32.36 worth of food and wine.
Now see THIS is why I stopped shopping at Wal-Mart.
At first I was not sure it was Florida. After all nobody even got shot.

West Virginia man calls 911 and turns himself in after watching President Obama talk about drug addiction.
"That's right buddy. I'm talking to you." |
Like many West Virginians, a man from Cross Lanes watched President Obama address the drug addiction problem during his visit to Charleston on Oct. 21.
Later that day, he called 911 and said he needed help for a drug addiction and asked that deputies be sent to his home.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office released details of the incident Wednesday in a release that ended with, "We applaud this person's self-initiated efforts and wish him well in his recovery."
The Sheriff's Office said after repeated calls back from 911 operators that day, their deputies went to the man's home. They said he put his hands on the wall and said he needed help.
The man, in his mid-30s, then showed Deputy J.A. Smith a cooler full of drugs that included included digital scales, 16 Suboxone packs and patches, marijuana, 19 grams of ecstasy and 158 pain pills.
The man admitted he was a heavy drug user, had watched the President's speech and wanted to live a drug-free life for his mother.
It is kind of hard to call a President "ineffective" if just by talking on TV he can get drug abusers to turn themselves into the police.
I mean there is regular inspirational, and then there is President Obama inspirational.

Okay so let's talk gossip.
Now the article itself was addressing that post on the Daily Mail about Levi and Bristol having resolved their custody issues, which of course we all know to be bullshit.
However what was interesting about the post was not the article itself, but rather what showed up in the comments section:

Cannot tolerate these assholes. A woman I know had an affair with Todd Palin’s brother, James, and oh lawd the tea she spilled. Screen caps and all.
Wait, what?
Other commenters asked for more, and more is exactly what they got:
mimif says: October 22, 2015 at 2:42 pm
Sorry! I completely spaced out. Okay, I have to be kind of delicate because… f-ck it.
So my bf is a commercial fisherman up in Bristol Bay (occasionally I crew for him), and he fishes alongside Todd Palin in the summer. Additionally, one of our good friends is a longtime Palin family friend (we constantly tease him but by all accounts he swears Todd is a good dude), so I always get the insider stories and it’s why my face turns purple every time there is a post about them here. Anyhow, the year the Palins had their stupid documentary Sarah and her brood were crawling all over the town we fish out of. This town is teeny tiny btw, there is like zero anonymity. It’s also a very pro-Palin town too, as they have Alaska Native roots there, so one does not speak unkindly of them in public. A friend of mine starts telling me that she’s boinking James Palin, and I was like, yeah whatever, who cares. And then she starts telling me these stories…like super lurid stories of shit that he was into, stuff you wouldn’t make up unless you were a sociopath, but I was busy fishing and couldn’t be bothered. So THEN, she starts sending me screen caps of their FB convos and dude, a) the guy is a total dog (supposedly on a trial separation from his wife, whom eventually divorced him), b) not even going into the sexual details because it makes me want to com (NASTY), but c) he talked so much shit about Sarah it was unreal. That she was cheating on Todd (apparently James and Sarah had a fling too, something about being a knob gobbler, but she broke it off), she’s a total drunk who lets her kids do whatever they want, Bristol is the town bicycle and the rumors about Sarah’s last baby being Bristol’s were true, how her thirst for fame completely destroyed Todd & Sarah’s marriage, talk about swinging…should I go on? He sounded like a jilted lover, he totally despised her. So take that all with a grain of salt, people.
Then this douche James invited my friend to Hawaii with his kids, wanted to marry her, (also wanted to f-ck her friends) guy was just a piece of work. FWIW, my friend isn’t exactly playing with a full deck so he was 100% taking advantage of her. Ick. The whole family is revolting. From personally experience, Sarah is a hag. Literally. I’ve met her more than once and her voice makes me want to rip my hair out. The End.
P.S. I’m mad at all of you now for making me type that out AND I’m going to hell.
And then there was more:
mimif says: October 22, 2015 at 3:00 pm
Lol knob gobbler is pretty good, but I’m still mad at you (also keep remembering more tidbits!). It’s not too much of a stretch tho, is it? I mean, she’s just a horrible person, and so is her daughter. My bf’s FB feed is a gem of info, too, as most of his buddies are Alaskan. Very few people (outside some of the rural villages) hold them with any kind of regard. They are a disgrace to the great state of Alaska and I can’t wait for them to go far, far away. RANT OVER.
ETA omg I can’t edit my OG post. **makes me want to VOM, not com. That sounds so wrong. 😫
And even more:
mimif says: October 22, 2015 at 3:38 pm
I’m trying to remember what year this was…2009 or 2010, so back when Palin was kind of a big deal (to some folks). But yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if James Palin started the whole Sarah pretended to have Bristol’s baby rumor, dude was out to get her. Which was equally odd because he was technically working for her/part of her entourage, not to mention her BIL.
After that this MimiF person started talking about other topics before stating that her boyfriend was mad at her for divulging what she did and then she clammed up for good.
So the first thing I have to mention is that this is a gossip site and one should always take posts by commenters with a big ole grain of salt. However the thing that kept catching my eye was this talk about Todd's brother James.
And the reason why is because it closely matched what my own source had once told me in great detail about this particular family member, whom she referred to as JD.
According to her he was a full blown alcoholic, and sexual deviant, who was considered the black sheep even in a family almost made up entirely of black sheep.
Some of the things she told me were even too graphic for an adult blog like this.
You may remember that in this post my source had told me that the entire family had dealt with substance abuse problems, but what I did not say at the time is that she felt JD, or James if you will, had the worst problems of all.
There was a reason at the time that I did not focus on JD, and it had to do with the identity of my source. At the time we had agreed that she would eventually come out of the shadows and talk openly, but then the Palins essentially shut her up and that was that.
Now the one thing about MimiF's comments that I do not necessarily agree with is her statement that Trig was actually Bristol's child.
The reason for that is due to the fact that my other sources cannot account for a time where Bristol was MIA long enough to have been pregnant and then given birth without their knowledge.
Now they will say that she could have been pregnant up to a year or more earlier, but that around the beginning of 2008 they saw Bristol quite frequently.
Trust me, these folks would NOT cover for Bristol or the Palin family as there is NO love lost between them.
As for the deviant sex and talk of affairs? Oh yeah that matches perfectly.

Americans want Congress to pee in a bottle to prove they're not on drugs. Gee, I wonder how many would actually pass?
Courtesy of Counter Current News:
While Congress pushes for drug tests for food stamp recipients, most Americans like the idea of drug testing members of Congress even better.
A YouGov poll found that 78% of U.S. citizens are in favor of requiring random drug testing for members of Congress. A full 62% said they “strongly” favor this, compared with only 51% who feel the same way about food stamp and welfare recipients.
The support for this move was bipartisan, as 86% percent of Republicans, 77% of Democrats and 75% of independents support the mandatory drug tests for members of Congress.
It would seem that more than Americans are worried about drugs, they are upset with the hypocrisy of U.S. lawmakers, who carry on this charade of a “War on Drugs” while using the very things they pass laws against.
I think this is a great idea.
Anybody else?

Perhaps one of the most powerful magazine covers of all time.
Here is a link to the article.
In it you will read the testimony of 35 women who are telling eerily similar stories about their abuse at the hands of a once beloved television personality.
It should be noted that this story was so disturbing to some people out there that hackers shut down New York magazine's webpage after the story hit the internet.
There is really not much more that I can add here, except to say that if this many women were sexually abused by only one man, how many other women are out there staying silent about their abuse at the hands of men less famous, but just as dismissive of their rights as human beings?

Navy Seal caught smuggling 10 kilos of cocaine into the country.
Courtesy of Buzzfeed:
A Navy SEAL who served in the military for 14 years and worked on covert anti-drug operations has admitted to smuggling 10 kilos of cocaine into the United States, according to records from the federal district court in Miami and a source familiar with his service.
The SEAL, Angel Martinez-Ramos, left active duty in 2010 but continued to deploy on missions as a reservist, court papers say. He had drug paraphernalia, including a money-counting machine and drug-testing equipment, at home, the documents say. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import cocaine and is currently in custody in Miami awaiting sentencing.
His case comes in the wake of another embarrassment for the elite SEALs, the commandos famous for killing Osama bin Laden. Earlier this year, two former members of the group died after consuming heroin and alcohol on a commercial ship they had been hired to protect from pirates.
I want to make it clear that this post should in no way be perceived as anti-military in any way.
However I think it is important to remind people that the current deifying of our men and women in the armed services needs to stop.
Many of those in our fighting forces are exemplary and honest human beings, who courageously put their lives on the line to protect American interests overseas. Not our freedom, but our interests.
It must be remembered however that some of these guys are simply average men doing a very challenging job, who may or may not have the highest ethical or moral standards. As we have seen all too often.
Whenever we put any group of people on a pedestal, like the Right Wing so often does with our military, we risk not paying critical enough attention to who they are, and what they do.
Don't forget that these are individuals who travel to a foreign land and kill citizens of that land when ordered to do so, without ever knowing for sure if they are innocent, guilty, or simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Sadly we need people like this in the world, but we should always remember that a job like that requires a certain ability to suspend their empathetic natures, a skill that some pick up over time, and which some never had holding them back in the first place.

Sarah Palin finally gets a positive review of her new ghostwritten book. Now who do you think would do that?
So after many scathing, and sometimes simply confused, review of her book Palin finally found a media outlet with so little journalistic credibility that they are willing to fawn over the book.
Courtesy of (Where else?) Breitbart:
“If I’m for Christmas, it’s only because I’m for Christ,” writes Gov. Palin. “There is no ultimate peace apart from Christ, and it is Christ who empowers every act of ‘goodwill toward men’ in our otherwise fallen hearts.”
The book’s blending of personal experience with discussions of political efforts to morph Christmas into a homogenized celebration of the “holidays” makes for a brisk and enjoyable read. Even as we learn that Todd Palin gives the Governor what she considers the coolest of Christmas gifts—such as a .30-06 rifle, hockey skates, and a “beautiful red manual ice auger for ice fishing”—Palin packs powerful punches.
“There are few things that anger a secular liberal atheist more than a horizontal plank intersecting a vertical plank—a cross—on public land,” writes Palin. “Perhaps Christmas causes so much anger because the very name of the holiday broadcasts the Name above all Names.”
I have no idea why Palin believes that Christmas makes secular people angry, when it was the Christians who have historically been the most irritated by the holiday.
And does anybody, and I mean ANYBODY, believe that Palin only celebrates Christmas becasue it features the name of her heavenly heartthrob? Could you even imagine Palin turning down free stuff, simply because the holiday does not mention Jesus?
While we are on the topic of book tours, did anybody else read a certain blind item over at Crazy Days and Nights?
This former A list politician/reality star could barely sit still at a recent book signing. So much twitching and that runny nose was out of control. What the world would love is a photo of her using coke. I dare say it would be worth millions.
Oh come on this could be anybody!
I mean surely there is another former A list politician/reality star who is currently on a book tour, right?
Umm, right?
And it is not like Sarah Palin has demonstrated any erratic thinking or weight loss, or has a documented history of coca.....ohhh.
Gee I can hardly wait for that fitness book of hers to come out, "Snorting your way to skinny, by Sarah Palin."

The much more accurate face of Jesus of Nazareth. |

The Alaska Native method for dealing with drug dealers. Denied!
Courtesy of KTUU:
A man described by residents and police in an Aleutian Islands town as a known drug dealer was turned around at the local airport and run out of town by parents when he arrived from Anchorage Tuesday.
Locals in the East Aleutians Borough community of Sand Point say the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, when a nightly PenAir flight arrived in town from Anchorage with the man on board.
In a caption for a Facebook photo of the confrontation posted by resident Carmen Dushkin, she said the incident personifies opposition by locals to a continuing flow of drugs into their communities.
"Sand Point takes a stand to remove known drug dealers," Dushkin wrote. "Team Sand Point will not let you come into our town and corrupt the youth of tomorrow."
The Sand Point incident follows a tradition dating back to Alaska Native tribes of banishing offenders who disturb the peace as a form of punishment, one adopted by Gold Rush-era residents as a "blue ticket" out of town by the first available means of transportation. In a more recent example of an Alaska community expelling a person suspected of but not charged with a crime, tribal officials banned a suspected bootlegger from the village of Akiak in April.
According to Sand Point Police Department officer Michael Livingston, who witnessed the exchange, police couldn't confirm locals' identification of the man as he was not charged with a crime. The man does have a history in the 1,000-person community, which has seen problems with illegal drugs like cocaine, heroin and meth, as well as abuse of prescription drugs.
"Typically, what happens is a drug dealer flies into Sand Point with, say, 1,000 Percocet (oxycodone pain pills) and he has a runner sell them for 150 bucks apiece," Livingston said. "And within a couple weeks, he's leaving town with about $150,000 cash."
I have actually seen this happen before. The native community will rise up as one and eject a trouble maker or dangerous individual and they will be denied access to their community.
It will sometimes confound law enforcement because rather than turn the person over to the authorities the locals will simply ban him or her. Essentially because they don't trust white man's justice.
Of course in the olden days sometimes trouble makers would be taken out on one way hunting trips. After all, accidents do happen you know.
Don't worry too much about this fellow however, he will always be welcome in Wasilla.

2nd Amendment gun nut arrested for having gun in Freedom Plaza and for possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Guns and mind altering substances, oh yeah THAT goes together!
Courtesy of the Washington Post:
Police searched the Northern Virginia home of activist Adam Kokesh Tuesday evening and took him into custody on a charge of being in possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms while also having a gun, authorities said.
Kokesh, a former Marine, was held overnight at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, charged with possession of schedule I or II drugs while in possession of a firearm, said Lt. Steve Elbert, a spokesman for the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office.
Kokesh refused to be fingerprinted or arraigned, or to speak with court officials on Wednesday morning, said Nancy Lake, Clerk of the Fairfax County General District Court.
“We were expecting this. We were expecting the government to raid our house,” Darrell Young, Kokesh’s roommate, told WRC-TV (Channel 4).
U.S. Park Police Lt. Pamela Smith said her agency executed a search warrant at Kokesh’s home in Herndon about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, looking for a weapon. The park police are the federal agency responsible for policing Freedom Plaza, the concrete park a few blocks from the White House where — in a video posted to YouTube on July 4 — Kokesh appears to load a shotgun in violation of D.C. gun laws.
Smith said she did not know if the YouTube video was the reason for the search warrant. Carrying a loaded weapon, concealed or unconcealed, is against the law in the District. The possession of a firearm not registered in the District carries a penalty up to a year in prison.
Such a moron.
"We were expecting this." What? You were expecting to be arrested for breaking the law? Damn you're just like a modern day Nostradamus!
This Kokesh guy essentially makes terrorist threats while standing in the middle of Washington D.C., just so he can complain later on that we are living in a police state when they come to arrest him.
I swear gun toting drama queens are the worst!
Oh well at least now he gets the opportunities to make friends in prison with OTHER folks who hate the government, and are convinced their rights are being taken away from them.

Your hypocrisy fix for the day. Assemblyman who railed against the legalization of marijuana caught with, you guessed it, pot in his possession while speeding.
"What? Who doesn't smoke a little chronic before working on blocking the legalization of marijuana?" |
Assemblyman Steve Katz has railed against illegal drugs and voted against the legalization of medical marijuana last year.
In a mailing to constituents, the Yorktown Republican, who serves on the Assembly Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Committee, warned: “Our community has been stricken with an increase in drug use and drunk driving by our youngest citizens.”
On Thursday morning, Katz was ticketed near Albany, accused of speeding and marijuana possession, state police said Friday.
Katz, 59, who was first elected to the Assembly in 2010, was pulled over on the northbound Thruway in Coeymans for driving 80 mph in a 65 mph zone, police said.
The state trooper noted the smell of marijuana when he approached Katz’s car, police said. Katz turned over a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana, state police spokeswoman Darcy Wells said.
Katz was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding and was issued an appearance ticket for Coeymans Court at 9 a.m. March 28. Katz was not taken into custody, police said, because he did not appear to be impaired.
At an event to discuss property-tax exemptions with seniors at Yorktown Town Hall, Katz read from a prepared statement to reporters, calling the incident “unfortunate.”
“First, I will not let this incident impede my public service and my calls for real mandate relief, a better economic climate and better services for those in need in New York,” Katz’s statement read. “This should not overshadow the work I have done over the years for the public and my constituency. I am confident that once the facts are presented that this will quickly be put to rest.”
Yes this should not overshadow the "work" he has done. After all who DOESN'T expect their Republican politicians to be giant hypocrites these days?
You know, you almost can't parody these guys anymore. They keep beating us to it!

Dogs strapped to the roof of their car, and now horses drugged out of their minds, what is it with the Romney's and animals anyhow?
"Seriously, have you ever just really looked at the sky? "Dude, I can't feel my hooves!" |
Ann Romney found herself briefly the subject of a lawsuit at whose core, according to court documents, was a heavily-medicated horse.
Romney and her trainers sold the horse, Super Hit, in 2008 for $125,000. And Super Hit had what a prominent veterinarian described as a staggering quantity of drugs in its system at the time of its examination before being sold, according to a toxicology report that's part of the lawsuit over the horse's condition.
The lawsuit, which was mentioned in a New York Times story last month, was filed in 2010 by a woman in San Diego who had bought Super Hit from Romney and her trainers, Jan and Amy Ebeling. The woman, Catherine Norris, sued Romney for fraud after the horse allegedly proved physically incapable of performing as a dressage horse.
The case with Romney was settled last September and she is no longer involved in the lawsuit.
According to a toxicology report provided to the horse's vet and testimony from a veterinarian, Dr. Steven Soule, included in the lawsuit, Super Hit had three sedative pain killers and one narcotic pain killer in her system when the horse was examined to check her condition pre-sale. The drugs were Butorphanol, Delomidine, Romifidine, and Xylatine.
Soule, who has been the United States Equestrian Team veterinarian since 1978, writes, “In my 38 years of practice, I have never come across a drug screen such as this where the horse has been administered so many different medications at the same time.” The horse had a defect in its foot, and Norris's lawyers alleged that the Ebelings had drugged the horse in order to hide its condition.
So the Romneys got this poor animal hopped up on painkillers and sedatives in an attempt to hide its injury from the potential buyers? Oh yes, that kind of thing is just SO presidential.
Attacking and cutting off a schoolmate's hair because he looked like a homosexual, strapping a dog to the top of the car before driving the frightened animal down the highway until it shit itself, taking over companies and driving them into bankruptcy for a profit, and now drugging a horse in an attempt to rip off its potential new ownders?
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I like Mitt Romney very much.
And clearly I'm not alone.

Holy crap! Mercede Johnston's latest post demonstrates why she might be the bravest person in Wasilla.
In Sadie's post this morning she discusses the circumstances surrounding the arrest of her mother, and exactly how the informant first contacted her, and what he said to convince her to break the law.
If you have ever wondered how a seemingly nice person like Sherry Johnston got caught up in a drug sting, this will tell you all you need to know.
And if you are one of those people who just nonchalantly refer to Levi and Mercede's mother as a drug addict or a felon this will go a long way toward opening your eyes.
I am less than happy that Sadie openly identifies the creep who set up her mom, because I worry about their safety, but I can't blame her for wanting to set the record straight and clear her mother's name.
Just for context, here is the story I first heard concerning how Sherry Johnston was arrested way back in June of 2009. My source was NOT the Johnstons but it is clear that my information was pretty solid.

Sarah Palin gives disastrous speech to Commercial Real Estate Conference in which she refers to President Obama as an "Opium" addict.
Apparently Sarah showed up at this conference and spent the entire speech talking about politics, and slamming President Obama, while saying absolutely NOTHING about real estate and completely baffling her audience.
This weekend, 2012 Presidential candidate Sarah Palin delivered a keynote address at the 2010 ICSC RECon conference, a retail real estate conference in Las Vegas.
Of course, whenever a conference has a speaker like this, the draw is the speaker's celebrity power, not their glints of insight about the actual topic at hand.
Still, you kind of expect the speaker to tailor their speech a little bit to the crowd.
Apparently in this case that didn't happen. Mainly she just delivered a stump speech.
As somebody who has listened to WAY TOO MANY Palin speeches I do not find this too surprising. That is until I got to THIS part.
Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, said at the ICSC RECon show in Las Vegas that President Obama has an addiction problem. He’s addicted to OPM (pronounced by her as “opium”), she said, referring to an acronym for Other Peoples’ Money.
WTF? Are we to believe this was simply a slip of the tongue, or is this another sneaky little Palin attack on our President? I mean WHO even uses the acronym OPM in a speech?
Palin has insinuated Barack Obmaa cozies up with domestic terrorists, that he is attempting to destroy America, and she even supported the "birthers" at one point. Do we really believe that it is beneath her to make the allegation that our President is a drug addict?
Well you are free to come to your own conclusions about that!

As promised here is video of Diana Palin's allocution.
I got a little blow back from some of you because you thought I was too soft on Ms. Palin. That may be a fair criticism as I am often very reticent to be overly aggressive or confrontational with females. But you can watch Palin's apology to Mr. Turcott yourself and then decide if I was too soft or not.
(And yes I am aware of the irony of my above statement considering how aggressively I have gone after the Palin-Furby, but in my defense I do not see her simply as a female but rather a very dangerous individual who puts my country in jeopardy. And when it comes to people like that, male of female, the gloves are off.)
Diana Palin sentenced in Palmer, Alaska from Dennis Zaki on Vimeo.
And yes the man who greeted her as she stepped out into the gallery was indeed Mr. Turcott. I don't know exactly what he said, but if we have any lip readers in the group feel free to fill us in.(And yes I am aware of the irony of my above statement considering how aggressively I have gone after the Palin-Furby, but in my defense I do not see her simply as a female but rather a very dangerous individual who puts my country in jeopardy.
