More words of wisdom from the great George Carlin.

Could his words be any MORE topical?

(Yeah I admit it, I'm kind of on a George Carlin kick lately. So sue me, I love the guy!)

George Carlin knew it all along.

Just in case you wonder why the Republicans are trying so hard to vilify teachers, dumb down our schools, and insert religion into all facets of our lives.

Believers do as they are told, thinkers question everything.

I am not sure that Condolezza Rice has ever watched The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell before.

I have to say that I found that very satisfying on a number of levels.

I literally used to fantasize about seeing a member of the Bush administration drilled by a tough, no nonsense, journalist like O'Donnell.  Absolutely made my day yesterday.

I am still kind of sad about George Carlin's passing. But you know what makes the sad go away? George Carlin talking about the Ten Commandments.

George Carlin was not simply a comedian. He was a social commentator who did not accept bullshit.

And this clip proves that point beautifully.

George Carlin has died.

George Carlin was one of my all time favorite comedians, and one of the few that I actually got to see in person.

Every place you go today will have some version of this video, but I have to post it as it is the classic George Carlin comedy routine. And since it is a classic George Carlin routine it is very NSFW.

THE SEVEN WORDS YOU CANNOT SAY ON TELEVISION.

Yep that was a classic. But the first time that I became aware of George Carlin it was as "Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weatherman". (You will have to wait until midway through this radio performance to hear Al Sleet, but it is worth it, man.)
