Andrew Sullivan returns from vacation and immediately takes Sarah Palin to task over her attacks on Hillary Clinton.

As all of you know I posted about Palin's hypocrisy concerning Hillary's health right after she made her clumsy attempt at an attack last week.

Sadly for Andrew Sullivan he was out of the office that week. However now that he is back in front of his laptop, he is ready to take Palin head on.

First Sullivan takes a moment to agree with Palin about the importance of a candidate releasing their medical records when running for office. Then he reminds his readers that he was vilified for doing the exact same thing in regard to Palin in 2008:

When did Palin actually release something about her health? She released a two-page letter from her doctor one hour before polling day.

No records at all. Was she subjected to a press grilling? I know of no reporter who asked her to verify her Trig stories; there were no questions ever about her weird stories about giving a speech while having contractions or getting on an airplane eight months pregnant and already in labor. The McCain campaign never asked her for verification or explanation of any of these stories. Those of us who did ask were then ridiculed and slimed by the press and the campaign.

These facts need to be remembered when Palin tries to rewrite history. And one above all: all Hillary Clinton needs to do, if she is to follow Palin’s example, is to wait until an hour before the polls open, and release a brief doctor’s note saying nothing is wrong. Somehow, I don’t think the press will let her get away with that. Which raises the question of why the press let Palin get away with the same thing. And still do.

EXACTLY!

And that is really the crux of the argument put forward by those of us taunted with the "Trig Truther" label.

IF Palin had released comprehensive medical records, or released a verifiable birth certificate for Trig, then I think she could have legitimately mocked those who kept accusing her of faking her pregnancy, or continued questioning the circumstances surrounding it.

However to this day, she has done neither.

Nor are their any pictures of her bare pregnant belly, no testimonials of any friends who felt a baby kick, or any photos of her in the delivery room holding her newborn. (Which by the way is something that I believe EVERY mother has in their possession.)

And let me just say how nice it is to see that Andrew has not stepped away from the babygate controversy. He obviously rarely has need to bring it up, but if Palin gives him an opening he is certainly not shy about taking it.

And isn't Palin an idiot for giving it to him?

Pro-Life: Stripping away a doctor's license for not making a ten year old girl give birth to her rapist's child.

Courtesy of Reality Check:

In a continuing effort to both curb access to abortion and reiterate their own opinion that there is never any situation where abortion could be necessary for a patient's well-being, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts has decided in favor of revoking Dr. Ann Neuhaus's medical license. Neuhaus, a colleague of Dr. George Tiller, assisted him by providing second opinions for mental health exceptions for late abortions.

According to the Associated Press, Neuhaus was hoping to have her full medical license restored after spending years only allowed to provide limited medical care for charity work. Instead, an ongoing investigation into 11 patient cases obtained by Operation Rescue became the center of a movement to have her license stripped all together.

The cases all involved girls who sought abortions due to mental health issues from depression to suicide, with an age range from 17 years old to as young as 10. The board alleged that Neuhaus's exams were not thorough enough based on the available records provided, and that her follow up care was inadequate, as she did not recommend counseling or hospitalization afterwards.

Neuhaus called the accusations ridiculous. She said she refused to put too much identifying information in the records because she knew that they could eventually end up in the hands of outsiders and violate the patients' privacy. As for abortions not being necessary, Neuhaus found that laughable as well.

"To even claim that isn't medically necessary qualifies as gross incompetence," said Neuhaus. "Someone's 10 years old, and they were raped by their uncle and they understand that they've got a baby growing in their stomach and they don't want that. You're going to send this girl for a brain scan and some blood work and put her in a hospital?"

I don't care what your argument is, forcing a child to spend nine months with a constant reminder of her rape growing inside of her body, and then forcing her to go though the pain of childbirth is simply to add layers of trauma onto an already devastating incident in her life.

This insanity has to stop!

Palin releases a doctors note saying she is in "excellent health". Do I need to point out these are not "medical records"?

Just hours before Election Day, the McCain campaign released a summary of Gov. Sarah Palin’s health — a physician’s letter saying the vice presidential candidate is in “excellent health.”

Palin was the last contender on the presidential tickets to release her medical history in some form.

The November 3 letter from her physician, Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, says, “Governor Palin is in excellent health and has no known health problems that would interfere with her ability to carry out the duties and obligation of Vice President of the United States of America.”

Dr. Cathy Baldwin Johnson? The same Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson that supposedly delivered Trig Palin at Mat-Su regional hospital, where she does not have delivery privileges? The same Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson that has been MIA for the last two months? That Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson?

Oh well then I guess that answers all of our questions now doesn't it?

Just like the Personnel Board report today makes us all realize that our Governor did nothing wrong concerning "Troopergate".

Just how stupid does this woman think we are?

Update: Here is CBJ's letter. If she is lying about this then she is committing malpractice. If she is telling the truth about Trig's birth and she let Sarah Palin fly back from Texas after her water broke then she has committed malpractice. Either way it does not look good for Dr. Baldwin-Johnson.

With less then 24 hours to go Sarah Palin continues to stonewall on releasing her medical records. Why?

With less than 24 hours to go before the presidential election, Sarah Palin still has not released her medical records and there is no indication the campaign is planning to do so.

Two weeks ago, Palin’s campaign told several reporters traveling with the campaign that a summary of the governor’s medical history would be made public before election day.

Reporters were told that details on Palin’s medical background would be released early last week. Last Thursday, after that timeframe had passed, a campaign aide backed off the previous pledge, saying the campaign wasn’t sure when the information would be released.

John McCain, Barack Obama and Joseph Biden have all provided details about their medical history.

How anybody not believe in a conspiracy when faced with this kind of absolute refusal to comply with what should be a simple request.

She seems to be a healthy 44 year old woman. If she is not hiding evidence about baby Trig, then what could she possibly be hiding?

A past abortion?

A hysterectomy?

Does she have a vestigial penis?

What else could it be?

Come on Governor, put this controversy to rest and just release your medical records!

You know we are going to find out what it is eventually don't you?

ABC News wants to know when Palin is going to keep her word about releasing her medical records. Hey me too!

ABC News' Kate Snow reports: With three days left until the election, the John McCain campaign still has not, despite frequent requests, released any information about vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's medical history, prompting some well-warranted skepticism.

Of course there are plenty of perfectly innocent explanations. The governor is perfectly healthy and the campaign feels no public pressure to release information? The doctor is on vacation and unreachable? The dog ate their records?

There are also more sinister explanations. But we won't go there.

Of course we are not going to see these records in the next few days. Not before Tuesday anyhow.

But if Sarah thinks we are gong to forget about it just because she is no longer a VP candidate, well she has another think coming.
