Courtesy of UPI.com:
Trending on Reddit today is this photo of what user mkb95 says is the defeated presidential candidate pumping his own gas at a station in La Jolla, CA -- sans Secret Service protection. "Mitt Romney at my local gas station.. he looks tired and washed up," the tagline reads.
"I talked to him for a good three minutes while he was filling his tank. I guess he's moving to on(e) of his houses in the town I live in, La Jolla," mkb95 added.
Wow! When was the last time you saw such an appropriate photograph of a beaten candidate?
No staff on hand.
No Secret Service protection.
Apparently no hair gel.
Just a cranky old man, in a wrinkled shirt, pumping his own gas, in the middle of the night. You know, almost like one of those 47% people.
By the way this was not the ONLY recent sighting of RMoney. He and his lovely bride were also spotted by TMZ attending the latest installment of the Twilight series, or like I refer to it "the death of the vampire movie."
By the way you can totally tell it's them by how out of focus they are. Try as I might I could simply never make out exactly WHO Mitt Romney was
The excuse I hear for WHY the couple attended this Emo soft porn, was in support of fellow Mormon Stephanie Meyer who wrote the books, because apparently REAL werewolves and vampires scared the goose crap out of her. So then she had to ruin it for the rest of us.
Hmm, going the a theater to watch Twilight, and cruising around California in the middle of the night. Does anybody else predict a visit to one of Marcus Bachmann's anti-gay therapy clinics in Mitt's near future?
I'm just saying.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

PolluterHarmony.com has helped to match Senator for hire Lisa Murkowski with her lobbyist in shining armor.
This video is fantastic! It is the story of a energy lobbyist and how placing an ad with PolluterHarmony.com helped him to find his soulmate and partner in gutting clean energy bills, Lisa Murkowski.
This video is somewhat satirical but sadly it is based on the troubling fact that our Senator has sold what little integrity she had to begin with to the oil and gas lobbyists. Going so far as to allow them to craft bills for her.
And perhaps even more sadly, thanks to the recent decision by the Supreme Court to overturn campaign spending limits on corporations, she will have unlimited funds to use in her bid for re-election. This means that the citizens of Alaska would have a very difficult time attempting to replace her with a Senator that will represent THEM instead of the wealthy corporations.
I have to wonder if Senator Murkowski receives her corporate payoff through the usual means or if they simply leave the money on the bureau when she is finished providing her service?

Gryphen want one! Gryphen want one!
The Japanese automaker also said it would begin making its Prius gas-electric hybrids in a new plant in Mississippi by late 2010 to meet demand for more fuel-efficient vehicles.
I just checked online to see how many more payments I have before my vehicle is paid off and it looks like I will own my SUV free and clear by February of 2009.
So after that I will be the proud owner of a 2001 Dodge Durango. A vehicle which only gets about 13 miles to the gallon in while driving in the city and now takes almost $82.00 to fill up. (It only took about $37.00 the first year I owned it.)
In my defense this is my first all wheel drive vehicle in a city with an enormous amount of snowfall (last year set a record) and streets that can become treacherously icy throughout the winter. I cannot tell you how happy I was to finally have a vehicle that made me feel confident to navigate the icy conditions knowing that it could handle almost anything I encountered.
But now I am completely guilt ridden to be driving around in my gas hog and want to get a vehicle that is much more earth friendly, gets better gas mileage, but can still handle our challenging winters.
So I will keep my eye on the new hybrids and hopefully get one as soon as they are made widely available. (By the way if Toyota could develop more vehicles with a more powerful engine and all wheel drive I know they would sell like hotcakes up here in the frozen north. Currently there is at least a three month waiting list for hybrids.)

John McCain, the Enron loophole, and why gas is over four dollars a gallon. Brought to you by Keith Olbermann.
It gets a little complicated, but in essence the report shows that McCain's economic advisor, Phil Gramm, is more then a little responsible for the kinds of speculative bidding that has driven oil prices through the roof.
So when the Republicans try to pin this crisis wholly on our dependence on foreign oil they are looking much to far away for the villains. You see the greedy bad guys are right here in the good old US of A.
And in John McCain's Presidential campaign staff.

Water prices are about to go up.
Brown said he shut his fuel injection system down and created the system that can use any type of water with a small amount of gas. He said the car is getting just fuel vapor.
"When you separate the water from the oxygen from the hydrogen, it cooks and it cooks down to a brown," Brown said. "We're not having any waste product off of it. Everything is consumed and burned."
Local 6 showed video of Brown filling up his vehicle with water and then driving around.
The news for tomorrow will show that Mr. Brown died by "accidentally" drowning in a bathtub filled with gasoline. Eyewitnesses said they saw a man that looked suspiciously like Dick Cheney driving away in a Hummer.
